You are too bored with the default iPhone ringtone, want to own the tunes of the hottest music today. Or simply want to create a very personal iPhone ringtone , with your personal taste. So how to create ringtones on iPhone?
iTunes for Windows iTunes for Mac
Replace iPhone ringtone not only refresh for "mobile phone", but also create a unique personality for you. If you are also planning to design iPhone ringtones, create your own iPhone ringtones without knowing how, please refer to the following guide of Download.com.vn .
Before implementing this article, it is important to note to iOS users that, from iTunes 12.7 onwards, Apple has officially removed the ability to manage ringtones and IPA files with iTunes on Mac and Windows computers. Their goal is to direct users to buy copyrighted ringtones or if they download and use the app, they will be downloaded directly on the phone.
But fortunately, the company has not put the feature of ringtones from external to the phone. Meaning, we can still create iPhone ringtones with favorite software like iRinger , Xilisoft iPhone Ringtone Maker , or AnyMP4 iPhone Ringtone Maker ... and continue to use iTunes data management software to sync to the device. .
Step 1: In this article, the writer uses iTunes version 12.9, so some operations will be different than the ways to cut iPhone ringtones we have known before.
First, open up iTunes, then you can connect the computer to the phone immediately, left-click on the Song , then select to select any song currently in this category (the song you want. cut as ringtone), then right click and select Song Info .
If in this section there is no song or you do not know how to put music here, you can refer to the tutorial " copy music from computer to iPhone, iPad ". Or most simply, you can just drag and drop the song, the song you are trying to use here is okay.
Step 2: A small window appears with detailed information about the track and song. Select the Options tab , then:
ATTENTION:
iTunes only supports songs and songs with a length of 40 seconds or less , so when choosing, you should pay attention to this.
Select the start and end time of the ringtone to make from the original file
Step 3: Leave the mouse pointer at the position of the track you are currently choosing to be a ringtone. Then move the mouse and click File / Convert / Create AAC Version .
Now, on iTunes will appear a new music file with the size equal to the size you have just selected in Options - this is our ringtone file.
Step 4: Right-click on this new music file and select Show in Finder (with MAC machine) or Show in Windows Explorer (with Windows).
Step 5: A Windows window appears, this is the location of the music file that we have cut earlier on the computer. You can see this file is in M4A format , this is not a format that iTunes can identify as ringtones.
Therefore, we need to proceed with changing the format of this file , from m4a to m4r . How to change, you can use specialized file format conversion software, or you can use online tools like Zamzar ( how to use Zamzar , you can review in previous articles of Download.com.vn ).
Use Zamzar to change the file extension if you do not know how to do it on the computer
On the computer, you can also directly change the file extension, if you know how to do it, you can follow it, but if not, using the file conversion tool will bring similar results.
Step 6: After changing the file successfully, you will return to iTunes window, and click on Tones . If you have not previously connected your computer to the device , you can now connect and select Tones.
Step 7: Open the folder containing the changed music file at the same time. Left-click on the file, hold and drag it to the Tones window next to it.
Drag and drop music files into iTunes's Tones window
Now you will see that music sheet appears as below. Click on the phone icon (under the Account tab) and left click on Sync to sync ringtones from iTunes to the device.
And this is our result. The music has appeared in the list of ringtones of the phone.
In addition to iTunes, currently iTools or 3uTools are similar tools, but the usage is simpler, more convenient and more functional than iTunes.
