HALO make up: how to create eye makeup with halo!

Today let's see how to create an intense but extremely original make-up !

This type of make up in America is called "halo make up" or "halo eye make up". The term " halo " is used because of the " halo " effect that is created in the center of the eyelid , a very simple technique to use but very special.

HALO MAKE UP

The characteristic of this type of makeup is to use a color usually lighter in the center and darker at the two ends of the mobile eyelid.
We can also use two very different colored eyeshadows to create a strong contrast. The central part will be our 'halo'.

In this case I wanted to create a really intense contrast by transforming a classic smokey eyes into something more colorful. In fact, I chose to use a very saturated eyeshadow in the center, blended with a slightly darker color.

As usual, the color combinations are endless! For example, we can choose to use a dark blue for an intense smokey for light eyes, or to use any other color to customize this make up.

NEED HALO EYE MAKE UP

Here are the cosmetics I used to make this colorful makeup:

Benefit Cosmetics Ka-Brow gel n.5 for the eyebrows; Air Patrol primer; They're Real mascara.

Mulac Cosmetics Doc, Ink, Wonder, Pop and Royal eye shadows; Base elixir + Crystal glitter.

House of Lashes Femme Fatale lashes.

Obviously you can replace these products with others you already have at home, as long as they have similar characteristics.

PROCEDURE EYE MAKE UP HALO MAKE UP

Let's see together how to recreate this very simple but impressive trick !

 

 

 

STEP 1 - HALO EYE MAKE UP

We start by applying a primer all over the eyelid (Benefit Air Patrol primer). We then blend a burgundy eyeshadow into the crease (Mulac eyeshadow Doc).

STEP 2 - HALO EYE MAKE UP

We apply a black eyeshadow (Mulac eyeshadow Ink) on the mobile eyelid leaving an empty space in the center. We then blend well into the crease with a blending brush.

STEP 3 - HALO EYE MAKE UP

We apply a purple eyeshadow (Mulac eyeshadow Wonder) on the mobile eyelid leaving once again a small space in the center. Then blend it also along the lower lashes.

 

 

 

 

STEP 4 - HALO EYE MAKE UP

Apply a fuchsia eyeshadow (Mulac eyeshadow Pop) to the center of the eyelid and blend lightly with the other eyeshadows.

STEP 5 - HALO EYE MAKE UP

Finally, apply a light shimmer eyeshadow (Mulac Royal eyeshadow) in the inner corner and on top of the light multicolored glitter (Mulac Elisi base + Crystal glitter).

STEP 6 - HALO EYE MAKE UP

Finally we apply mascara on the lashes (Benefit Cosmetics mascara They're Real). For a more intense effect we can apply false eyelashes (House of Lashes Femme Fatale eyelashes).

HOW TO COMBINE THE LIP MAKEUP

For this makeup I would see perfect lips on the same shade of fuchsia . For example, we could apply Mulac's Hocus Pocus lipstick for a super pop and truly original effect.

If you obviously want to focus attention on the look, I suggest you apply something nude with a cold undertone .
