When I wanted to make a backup today, the start page of the Ashampoo Backup pro 12 program showed me that the text phase was over and that I should buy the version.

I then tried to activate my version again and then got this message:
After clicking on the Contact Ashampoo Customer Service button below, a popup opened where I could describe my error and had to enter my e-mail address including my name.
I did that and attached a screenshot with the displayed error message. All relevant data of my installed software was automatically added as another attachment. Then you just have to press the Send button and everything is forwarded directly to Ashampoo.
After 2 minutes I got an e-mail with the comment that my request was being processed and that someone from customer service would get in touch with me.

And although it was Friday afternoon, after about 20 minutes I got an e-mail from a member of staff. He asked me to uninstall my existing version and also to delete any remaining installation folders.
The email also contained a link to download a new version of my program Ashampoo Backup pro 12. Please download it and reinstall it after restarting my PC.
After I had reinstalled the program, I didn't need to re-enter my key because it is stored in the Windows registry, the program worked perfectly again without any message regarding the test version.
