A child's temperament is congenital - but parents can help children practice positive ones that benefit them, or control negative ones.
Your baby has its own characteristics and behavioral patterns that affect how she responds to everyday events in life. This is called a baby's temperament; it will help shape your child's world and yours as well. Temperament is the child's or your child's behavioral style. It determines how the baby responds to situations; and how she expresses and adjusts her emotions. All of this is called temperament. Understanding your child's temperament can help you choose parenting strategies to nurture the most effective development for your baby.
Temperament is how children react to the world.
Think about your child's temperament according to how well he exhibits the following qualities:
Reactivity: This is how your child reacts strongly to things like interesting events or doesn't get what they want.
Self-regulation: this is the part where children can control their behavior , including how they express their emotions. It is also about how much children can control their attention and persistence.
Social: this is how children feel comfortable when they meet new people or have new experiences.
Each child is born with his or her own temperament, and you may have been able to describe your baby's temper from a very young age. For example: 'I am very difficult / comfortable' or 'I'm shy'.
Temperament differences explain why your children can be quite different from each other. For example, your children may be more or less reactive, more or less self-correcting and more or less self-contained.
You cannot change your child's temperament - because it can be considered innate!
But you can adapt to parenting with your child's own temperament so that nurturing fosters the child's best development. You can help your child develop positive parts of his or her temperament. And you can understand situations where your child might find it difficult because of his temper, and help him learn to handle these situations.
If a parent has a baby, everything gets excited - easy to react. When there is a good thing - the baby will react to jump, scream ... or when something is sad or angry, he can cry, scream, scream ... I also react strongly when arguing , or something. not in my opinion.
=> You need to teach your child how to respond more calmly, to control his emotions - for example, by relaxing, breathing, turning attention ... to release angry emotions, extreme reactions.
Reactive children are usually very active and may need a lot of time outdoors. You can help your baby grow by encouraging him to try new sports activities, get plenty of vigorous and continuous movement to release energy that's always high, and react vigorously.
A less reactive child often gets along easily, but can be less assertive. You may need to teach your child how to stand up for yourself. You can create situations to help your baby handle, raise ideas, solve problems to practice and practice for your child to respond better.
It is also important to make sure that the less reactive children are not excluded from family discussions. You always ask for their opinions, encourage them to give their own opinions and comments.
Children who are less responsive also don't like to be active as much as their highly reactive peers. Children that are less responsive to activities like crafting, cutting, pasting, coloring or drawing. But you need to encourage physical activity to balance your child's development.
Children find it easier to adjust to their emotions than to manage or control their own reactions / emotions, especially with emotions like disappointment or excitement. Children can calm down more quickly after something interesting or unpleasant and they are less impulsive, which is the part of their self-regulation.
A child with this self-regulating temper can adjust his attention more. Children may continue with something until they are satisfied with that emotion or they feel they have achieved what they want. Children are also able to cope with setbacks and can overcome tasks like homework without much supervision. But children can be a perfectionist, even though they know that they will make mistakes first and foremost, they always find ways to be perfectionist, wanting to be perfectionist.
If your baby is having trouble adjusting his or her attention, he'll need a lot of motivation to continue doing the difficult tasks. These kids can transition quickly from one activity to another. Babies can also be very creative. To help keep your child focused, you can try rewarding your child or doing anything fun using creative games and activities to keep them engaged and persistent.
If your child is a person who loves going out and enjoying social things, he or she will always enjoy being around other people, having group games and activities. But you don't have to organize games and activities for your child all the time, because it's important for your child to learn to keep busy themselves.
Children with a more sociable temper are often very adaptable and can cope with changes to routines quite easily. It's great if you can provide your child with new adaptable experiences, but make sure he or she still has some time alone with you.
If your child doesn't like outside social activities, he or she is probably doing well on her own and may not need a lot of help finding someone or something to play with. But you may need to help your child make friends, create a sense of security for them when going out, and help them overcome the discomfort of being in a big or new space.
You may see some changes in your child's temperament as your baby gets older. This happens when your child's experience influences how you behave in different situations.
For example, a child who once lost focus at school could become an adult who can concentrate well in business meetings. This may be because the child has developed other motivations as he matures, or because he has learned strategies for managing his distraction.
Your child's temper may be different from yours. Some parents find it easier to understand and care for a child with a similar temperament.
Temperament can be innate - but parents, schools, and society can help children practice positive ones that benefit them, or control the management of negative ones.
