The need for teachers to use the support of technology to create E-learning lessons has also increased sharply, in order to meet the maximum learning needs of students.

Now, building E-learning lectures is gradually becoming an inevitable trend in the education industry in the world. In that context, drafting an E-learning lecture has become a necessary skill that every teacher must equip himself with. To help teachers  design their own E-learning  lessons successfully, in this article The Teaching Manual will introduce teachers to an extremely powerful tool, that is: Ispring Suite.

Ispring Suite is essentially an add-on , compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint versions to help teachers  design E-learning lessons  with integrated multimedia according to international standards.

1. Install Ispring Suite

Step 1 : Install the latest version of  Ispring Suite software here

Step 2 : Click “ Install Ispring Suite ” to start the installation like normal applications.

Note: Need to turn off Microsoft Powerpoint if you are using Powerpoint, to proceed with the installation

After successful installation, please observe the toolbar of Microsoft PowerPoint and will receive the Ispring card as follows:

2. Introducing the Ispring Suite interface

3. Building E-learning lessons with Ispring Suite

3.1. Building a system of multiple choice questions

On the Ribbon, click Ispring Suite > Quiz

When selecting "Quiz", the system will activate the Ispring QuizMaker software allowing teachers to compose multiple-choice tests (Graded Quiz) or survey questions (Survey) . Teachers can compose 11 types of multiple-choice questions and 12 different types of survey questions such as true/false, multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, etc. After the student completes, the program will grade and display the score, and send the results to the teacher's email or server if the application is online.

Designing E-learning lessons using Ispring Suite  software allows teachers to compose the following types of multiple-choice questions:

  • Multiple Choice – Multiple Choice Question: In the survey, it is called a “Choose one” question, meaning that students can only choose 1 option and have only one correct answer.
  • Multiple Response – Multi-answer question: In the survey, it is called a “Choose many” type of question. Students can choose multiple answers and a question has multiple correct answers.
  • True/False – Question “True/False”
  • Short Answer – Short answer question
  • Essay – Essay type question
  • Numeric – Arithmetic Question: A type of question that can only be answered with numbers.
  • Matching – Pairing question: A type of question that students have to match between two groups of objects to give the best answer.
  • Sequence – Sequence question: A type of question that asks the candidate to arrange objects in a certain order, usually to ask about process or chronological order.
  • Fill in the blanks – Fill-in-the-blank question: A type of question where students have the task of filling in the blanks
  • Select from lists – Multiple choice fill-in question: A type of question with multiple answer choices, of which only one answer is correct. But especially here, the answer list will be in the form of a drop-down menu.
  • Drag and drop – “Drag – Drop” question: is a fill-in-the-blank question type but the options are already listed.
  • Hostpot Question : Is a question to determine the location on the image.
  • Likert Scale question (Likert Scale): is a specialized question in surveys to assess the level. For example: "E-learning is very useful in corporate training", the options will be based on the level: completely disagree, disagree, normal, agree, completely agree.

To insert interactive exercises, Ispring Suite has integrated the Ispring Kinetics software that allows teachers to insert the following types of exercises:

  • Steps:  create a step-by-step guide. Teachers can add pictures or videos in this type of exercise to make the lesson more lively
  • Timeline : a "timeline" type of exercise suitable for structured content, progressing over time, process, etc.
  • Cyclic Process:  an exercise format that allows teachers to create a cyclic diagram and accompanied by detailed descriptions.
  • Process:  similar to Cyclic Process, this is a suitable exercise to build a diagram of a process but not self-contained.
  • Labeled Graphic:  Allows teachers to add captions to objects in a picture, map or diagram, and you can add names and add comments to each object.
  • Guided Image:  build visualizations with detailed descriptions to guide on a certain topic
  • Hotspot:  allows you to draw points on any shape and that point will be highlighted when you hover over it. Teachers can add a description for each area, choose the shape and color as you like
  • Circle Diagram:  help teachers build a pie chart showing the relationship between a group of objects
  • Pyramid:  Create a pyramid chart exercise
  • Glossary:  ​​type of exercise classified by topics and arranged in alphabetical order. Teachers can apply this type of e-book to compile a dictionary or build a glossary of terms.
  • Media Catalog:  allows teachers to create categories so that learners can quickly find the necessary information. Each card includes a clear explanation and illustrative examples.
  • FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) : a "question and answer" book that helps teachers compile a group of questions on a certain topic, such as a review outline.
  • Accordion:  allows teachers to present information in an eye-catching and concise way in a compact form and you can easily insert information inside the tables

3.3. Audio recording, video recording and narration management

This function allows teachers to record and record video directly into the lecture. Integrated with microphone and webcam, teachers can insert audio and video images to make the lesson more vivid.
