The End Task task will be used to close a program or application on the computer that cannot be exited in the traditional way. Windows 11 has a feature setting to add the End Task button directly on the Windows 11 Taskbar, helping you not need to access Task Manager to force close unresponsive applications. Below are instructions for adding End Task on the Taskbar.
Instructions to add End Task to Windows 11 Taskbar
Step 1:
Press the Windows + I key combination to open Settings on your computer. Then click on System on the left side of the interface.

Step 2:
You look at the content next to it and click on For Developers .

Switch to the new interface and you will see the End Task item is defaulted to Off mode .

You will need to switch to On mode to add End Task to Windows 11 Taskbar. The system automatically saves the new settings for the computer without you having to restart the computer .

Step 3:
When an application on Windows has a problem and cannot be closed in the usual way, you just need to right-click on the application icon and click End Task to force the application to close.
