Zalo allows users to transfer all account information, contacts, logs to a new phone number without losing an account. This feature is quite useful in case the user lost the SIM, abandoned the old phone number, switched to using a new number completely.

How to change your phone number without losing your Zalo account
Step 1: At the main interface of Zalo phone, click the Add icon in the bottom right corner, then click the gear icon in the top right corner. The Settings interface appears, click Account and security , and then click Change phone number.
Step 2: You can only get a phone number when you meet the following conditions:
- Password set for your account.
- Do not set Zalo export within 7 days.
If not, the interface will appear as shown in Figure 1 below. If eligible, click Continue , enter the password and click Continue. This is to ensure the security of your account.
Step 3: Next, enter the phone number you want to change and click Continue> Confirm . Soon, the new phone number will receive an activation code from the call or message. In case the new account number has a Zalo account, that account will be deleted when you change successfully. Enter the 4-digit activation code in the blank box, then receive Continue.
