How to Make Up Downward, Sad, Saggy Eyes

Each eye has its own shape and each shape corresponds to more techniques and tricks to enhance it to the fullest .

EYES ON THE INNER: HOW TO MAKE THEM UP?

How can we do if our eyes tend a little downwards ? I myself have this shape and over time I have found a series of tricks to enhance them or sometimes correct them for a perfect result.

Once I tended not to like my shape, which generally tends to make the look a little sad ... But over time I have learned to appreciate it more and more considering that very often a downward eye also corresponds to a big eye ( with more or less visible mobile eyelid) and there are countless tricks we can make.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE FALLING EYES

The outer corner of the eye tends to be lower than a hypothetical horizontal line starting from the upper lacrimal point . One eye is up when the outer corner tends to be higher. Obviously this feature can be more or less accentuated. In the first photo you see an eye up, in the second an eye down.

HOW TO CORRECT FALLING EYES

The downward eye is "corrected" with an upward trick : the eyeshadow must be blended upwards  in the outer corner of the eye.

To create the defined effect of the outer shade I did not use any particular precautions, simply applying the eyeshadow with a flat application brush and then blending only the upper part , leaving the lower edge unchanged. However, we can define it further with the help of a piece of adhesive tape , creating an even more graphic make-up.

To enhance the drooping eyes I propose a make-up in shades of blue and blue, with a bright gold internal corner and a fairly defined external corner slightly raised, to create the illusion of a higher and elongated gaze .

This makeup obviously does not only suit this particular shape of eyes, but is perfect for those who, like me, want to raise the outer corner; also it doesn't matter if your eyelid is more or less large or defined, this look will really suit everyone!

MAKEUP TUTORIAL

Let's see together how to do this step-by-step trick!

STEP 1
We start by applying a primer to extend the duration of the make-up and emphasize the colors (Motives Cosmetics Eye Base). We then proceed by applying a blue eyeshadow in the outermost half of the mobile eyelid, paying attention to blend it well even in the crease (Aphrodite eye shadow).

STEP 2
Then apply a blue eyeshadow to the center of the eyelid with an application brush (Cleopatra eyeshadow).

STEP 3
We apply a gold eyeshadow in the inner corner (Moon eyeshadow).

STEP 4
Next we apply the same blue eyeshadow along the entire lower lash line.

STEP 5
Then apply a tip of  black eyeshadow in the outer corner, blending it slightly (Medusa eyeshadow).

STEP 6
Let's now proceed with a black pencil in the inner rhyme (Essence Long lasting pencil 01) and mascara on the lashes (Essence Maximum Definition mascara).

STEP 7
Finally, we apply the false eyelashes for a more intense effect (Flutter Lashes Miley eyelashes).

To these tones I would combine a rosy lipstick with a strong purple component (for example Dragon Berry by Gerard Cosmetics), but it is possible to combine them with any lipstick or pink lipstick , nude (even slightly orange if desired) or even a dark lipstick for a super effect. sensual!
