How to play Palworld, Palworld guide for beginners
Although the gameplay is simple and it is a familiar farming game, we still don't know what to do when participating in Palworld. Palworld is a game that is making waves on Steam and sold 1 million copies in just a few days of release.
You will have to collect your Pokemon-like friends and train them to fight with you, or at least make them help you build bases, create survival tools...
To get the best start, you should check out Quantrimang.com's guide for those new to Palworld below.
Assign work to Pal
One of the key things that sets Palword apart from other animal capture games is its focus on crafting and survival. You can assign jobs to your Pals (the animals you capture) to mine, farm, and gather more resources. This is a very useful tool but can be limited in the early game. To increase your base building capabilities, you need to have a Palbox.
Once you have a Palbox, you can stuff 480 Pals inside, of course you will need to level up your base later on. This can be done through the Quest prompt at the Palbox, to unlock more Pals to work with in your base.
Once you have an empty slot for a Pal, simply drag and drop them from your Inbox to the "Pals at base" section of the menu. This will add the Pal to your base, they are intelligent creatures and will often automatically perform tasks if told to.
To manually assign a task to your Friend, walk towards them and pick them up. Then, direct them to the activity you want them to focus on.
Priority for clothing manufacturing
Palworld's survival mechanics are quite realistic, as if you go out at night without clothes or a flashlight, your character will slowly freeze to death.
Torches are something you can craft quite easily and they also play an important role in your survival. But you should prioritize saving some cloth to craft clothes first. To do so, you need to defeat Lamballs for wool, or you can bring them to your Base Farm to grow wool.
From the wool you collect from Lamball, you can turn it into Cloth and turn the cloth into clothes using the workbench. As you level up, you will unlock recipes and clothing that will help you withstand the harsh climate and surrounding elements.
Use Tech Points Carefully
As you level up in Palworld, you'll accumulate Technology points. From the main menu, select the Technology tab, which will give you crafting recipes for a variety of Pal gear, items, and skills.
Often, new players will use up all their Tech Points right after accumulating a large amount of points. But it is recommended that you check Palbox before deciding to add Tech Points.
Palbox missions often require players to build multiple structures for their base. This means that you will first need to earn Technology points to unlock the crafting parameters. Usually, when performing missions, you will have to reach the required level before touching other elements. So don't rush to earn Technology points.
If you are in dire need of tech points then every time you discover new maps you will also get waypoints.
Pay attention to the health bar
When hunting new Pals, always keep in mind that the lower their health bar is, the easier it will be to catch them. You can also increase your chances of successfully catching them if you hide behind a Pal.
While hunting Pals, you may also lose track of your Pal's health bar, especially if you have other Pals involved in the hunt for the new Pal. If the Pal runs out of health, you will not be able to catch it because it will be unconscious. So keep an eye on your health bar when hunting new Pals, especially if you have Pals with you because they will automatically attack you.
Growing berries
Early in the game you will need something to eat, and berries are something you will use a lot when you first start the game. You will find that berries will regrow on bushes after a few days.
You can also unlock the Berry Plantation and grow your own crops, of which red berries are also a staple that you can easily grow to keep yourself and your friends well fed.
Make an umbrella
Moving around in Palworld will probably be easier if you have an umbrella in hand. The terrain in many places in the game has many rocky cliffs and ice mountains, if you just walk, it will take you a lot of time.
Having a parachute will help you move faster, you can craft one when you unlock the crafting recipe at level 5. Just remember that you can fly with the parachute if you have enough stamina, if your stamina runs out you will fall to the ground.
Spawn
If you happen to die in Palworld, you will lose all of your items including the ones you have in your inventory. Don't worry though, you will have a little red cross to mark where you died and you will be able to retrieve your loot.
After you die, you will see a map appear and be asked to choose a place to respawn in the game. Note that, no matter where you choose to respawn, you will not have anything on you. If you respawn near where you died, you may have to face cold, hunger if it is dark.
So, you can respawn at your base, get all the clothes, necessary items or at least a torch. Then use Palbox to teleport to the place where you just died.
Mount
There are some Pals that can be used as mounts to help you increase your movement speed. There are land, sea and flying mounts but you have to first catch the Pal and then unlock the tool crafting parameters in the Tech Points menu that allow you to ride them, it can be said that you have to go through quite a few steps to be able to ride a Pal in the game.
It's worth doing though, as your stamina when you first start out in Palworld is pretty low. The fastest ground mount you can find early in the game is the Direhowl, but there are plenty of other Pals you can find to use as mounts. Direhowls are a bit tricky to catch for beginners, as they tend to travel in packs, but if you can catch one, they can be a great help.
House raids
Even when you are offline, you will sometimes be raided by enemy NPCs in your home. Luckily, you can build an alert system in your base to deal with related issues effectively.
It is advisable to have an alarm early, as you can command your Pals to protect your base from raids. Usually if you have an alarm system, the Pals will take care of it for you.
Element
You will have elements that work in Palworld just like in many other games. Each element in the game is countered by another element, for example Fire is countered by Water. This means that if you are fighting a Pal, it is best to choose a Pal that counters that element.
Some other tips
Along with some of the tips above, you can follow some advice to stay out of trouble.
Spheres: Also known as Pal catching balls, you will have a total of 6 different types of Spheres that increase in quality by color. You can craft these after unlocking them in the Tech tab. Prioritize these as they will instantly increase your chances of catching rare Pals.
Shield: Shields are an item that helps you protect yourself better, in addition you can regenerate shields and are worth your investment.
Small Food Bag: Next to the Technology panel, you will see a purple Ancient Technology panel that contains more crafting recipes. This is worth the investment as it will automatically provide you and your Pals from your food inventory. This is an upgrade that will save you the effort of doing it yourself manually.
Check for Stuck Pals: At your base, you may get a notification that your Pals are hungry even though you have previously provided them with a full supply of Food Boxes. This is usually because they are stuck in a part of the base. The easiest way to transfer those Pals is to.
Keep an eye on your SAN: SAN is a tool that monitors your Pal's stress levels at work, if your SAN is unstable they will lose motivation and may stop working. Luckily you have tools to help your Pal restore their SAN levels, such as Hot Springs.
The tips above may not help you explore all the game's content, but at least the tips above will give you a good idea of what to do when you first start the game. To learn more about the content in Palworld, save the game page of Quantrimang.com to update the latest information about Palworld.
