How to rewrite text using Copilot on Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge browser has integrated AI technology to help you rewrite text, through the Rewrite with Copilot feature. When you have a paragraph that needs to be rewritten more professionally, or in a different style that you like, Copilot will suggest new content for that paragraph. You can use this rewrite feature to compose email content, or content to post on Facebook,... Below are instructions for rewriting text on Edge.

How to rewrite text using Copilot on Edge

Step 1:

Open your email or other social media and write your content as usual. Note that when using this feature, you can only work on a single tab, otherwise the Rewrite with Copilot window will disappear immediately.

Step 2:

Then highlight the content you want to rewrite, click on the Copilot icon and select Rewrite with Coplot to use. Or you can quickly press the Alt + I key combination to rewrite with Copilot.

Step 3:

You wait a moment for the tool to analyze the content and give new suggestions to rewrite the paragraph . You can compare the original paragraph with the rewritten paragraph using Copilot on Edge, with much better content and meaning.

Next we can click on Adjust to change the email content with many options.

Step 4:

Now users will see customizations to rewrite text with the new Copilot in many styles.

For example, clicking on Tone will display style options for the text.

If you choose the Enthusiastic style , click Rewrite and immediately the paragraph will be rewritten in the enthusiastic style as below.

Step 5:

In the Format section we have options to change the format of the text as shown.

For example, with the Idea format , the paragraph is rewritten as shown below.

With the Blog Post format , the paragraph will change again as below.

Step 6:

Under Length you have the option to rewrite the paragraph as Short, Long and Medium.

This is an option to rewrite the content shorter than the original text content.

Finally, if you are satisfied with the way the paragraph is rewritten using Copilot, click on Replace.
