Turn off Google Assistant from Google app
Step 1:
At the Google application interface, click on the avatar in the top right corner. Next, click on Settings in the displayed list.
Step 2:
Switch to the new interface, click on Google Assistant to adjust. In the new interface as shown, click on General Settings to adjust.
Step 3:
You will then see that Google Assistant is enabled. You just need to turn off the Google Assistant settings to turn off Google Assistant on your phone. Now Google will ask you if you want to turn off this Google Assistant, tap Turn off to do so.
Turn off Google Assistant's Hey Google command
You can also turn off the Hey Google command from the Google Assistant settings page, if you still want to use Google Assistant on your phone.
Step 1:
Go back to the Google Assistant settings page and select OK Google and Voice Match .
Step 2:
Then we will turn off the Hey Google command by sliding the green circle button to the left. The displayed notification shows that you can still use the Hey Google command while driving to control the virtual assistant on the phone.
So the Hey Google command has been turned off on the phone to avoid calling the wrong command on the phone.
How to turn off Google Assistant activation gestures
Some phones can use gestures to activate Google Assistant. For these phones, you can turn off gestures that activate Google Assistant.
At the interface, click on Settings on your Android phone , then click on System or Additional Settings depending on your phone, then click on Gestures/Gesture Shortcuts. You will see the option to activate Google Assistant by gesture.
Here you will turn off the gesture that activates Google Assistant.
