Underline is the most used Excel format when users want to emphasize a cell of content, a certain piece of data in their spreadsheet. But in addition to what is displayed on the Menu, users should also know another tip to use Microsoft Excel below.
Step 1 : Select the cell containing the content you want to underline formatting.
Step 2 : Click the Home / Font Group tab (select the drop-down arrow icon ) / Format Cells / Underline
Step 3: Choose any format you want from the pop-up list, or choose:
- None - None: Removes all existing underlines in the cell
- Single - Single Underline: Adds a single underline that spans the entire cell
- Double - Double Underline: Adds two underlines that span the entire cell
- Single Accounting: Adds an underline in the entire cell, but at a lower position than Single.
- Double Accounting: Adds two underlining in an entire cell, but in a lower position than Double.
