How do I find out the WiFi password on Windows 11?
A computer with Windows 11 you can find out the password of the WiFi network in a few steps.

Start Windows 11 Settings

Open Windows 11 Settings . To do this, press the Windows + i keys at the same time.

Once the settings have opened, click on "Network & Internet" on the left.

Next click on "Advanced network settings".

On the Advanced Network Settings page , select More Network Adapter Options .

Windows 11 opens a "Network Connections" window. Right-click on your WLAN adapter or network card and select "Status" .

Click on your WLAN connection and then on "Wireless Properties".

In new windows, click Security at the top. Check the "Show Characters" box.
The dots in the text field disappear and the saved WiFi password is displayed. Please note that the password will only be displayed if you have administrator rights for your computer or laptop.
Read out the WLAN password via the command prompt
Another way to read the WiFi password is via the Windows 11 command prompt .
- Start the Windows 11 command prompt with administrative rights. The easiest way is to enter " command prompt" in the Windows search and start as administrator .
- After the prompt has been allowed, enter the following command:
netsh wlan show profile YOUR WLAN NAME key=clear
"YOUR WLAN NAME" is the name of the WLAN to which your computer is connected.
With an enter key you get a lot more information about the wireless LAN of the security setting and key content the WLAN password is displayed.
