Minecraft Launcher is a program to log and install Minecraft games conveniently on the computer. Minecraft Launcher will download the main Java package, including minecraft.jar with code and game resources like texture packs or LWJGL.

Minecraft Launcher  is a must-have utility for Minecraft players. Initially, you are required to  log into a premium Minecraft account  to run Minecraft Launcher for the first time. You can use Launcher to run different Minecraft versions, but there are some versions that no longer support such as Indev, Minecraft 2.0 and the entire Beta 1.9 Pre-release. This is the 6th Minecraft Launcher with the feature of automatic updates upon release.

Every time you open  Minecraft Launcher , the program will check a specific category that Minecraft stores .minecraft files. Launcher also checks the file launcher_profiles.json related to the problem of the account login. If this file does not exist, is corrupted or has not been logged in, the player will have to log in to another account or switch to playing  Minecraft Demo.  Currently, Minecraft Launcher supports 57 different languages.
