Self-directed play

Self-directed play is when children choose what to play and create their own rules about how to play. This form of play is extremely important to help children learn and develop themselves.

Self-directed play doesn't always look fun sometimes. joke, laugh. As children play they develop language skills, social skills, physical skills, and creativity. Children can play alone, with other kids, and with or without object. In self-directed play, children direct the action - it is they in control. Children create roles, stories, scenes, whichever character they choose. Children choose to play again and again their own actions, creating new ones, all at their own pace.

Self-directed play stimulates the child's imagination, try to put your child in the driver's seat and see all the children's stories and creative actions while sitting in that driver's seat. Through this process of imagining, children work through emotions and gain experience, able to convert their emotions into actions in an intuitive, imagined situation from past experience. Play guided

When adults are involved in the play, it is called 'guided play'. Guided play will likely allow children to focus more on time with adults.
