Microsoft officially stops supporting Windows 11 24H2 on 8th, 9th and 10th generation Intel CPUs

Microsoft has finally released the official support list for Windows 11 24H2. Notably, the Redmond-based tech giant has unexpectedly removed a number of Intel SKUs from the list, although many of them technically still meet the system requirements and should be supported in 24H2. Overall, as of now, Microsoft no longer supports these chips on PCs running the latest version of Windows 11, at least on paper.

Specifically, the Ice Lake U and Y SKUs (Intel 10th Gen mobile) and Comet Lake (Intel 10th Gen desktop and mobile) have been removed. Support for the 8th and 9th Gen (Coffee Lake) chips has also been removed. Here is a complete list of Intel 10th, 9th, and 8th Gen processors that have been "removed" on Windows 11 24H2:

In terms of new SKUs added to the list, Intel has added the Core UL and HL Raptor Lake (1 series) mobile chips as well as the "Core 3 100U with IPU" to the list. Additionally, Intel Atom embedded CPUs have also been added.

You can find the full list HERE on Microsoft's official website. If your Intel CPU is on the support list for version 24H2, that SKU will also work on previous versions of Windows 11.
