Gretel & Hansel: Bizarre Tales is one of those movies coming out this week with a lot of hype. Plot: Based on the Grim fairy tale, the movie tells the story of two sisters Gretel and Hansel being kicked out of their home by their mother and taking care of their own life. Two children accidentally get lost in the home of an eccentric old woman living in the deep forest. She was very welcoming and created jobs for the two of you, but does Gretel sense something unusual going on in this house? Is there something dangerous waiting for the sisters? In fact, the content of the movie Gretel & Hansel (2020) is just an adaptation and variation on the basis of the original Grim story that we have been told for a long time. The original version of this story already has horror colors, so the producers have enough elements to turn this movie into a scary, scary work for viewers.

However, they exploit the film in the direction of eccentric rather than horror. Through lines between the old woman and Gretel , the filmmakers cram a lot of philosophies about life, about the woman, and about the goal of life. In particular, the feminist factor is highly honored by the film, through the change in thinking and physiology of the girl who is in puberty.

The philosophy that the film offers is really too confusing for viewers and not easy to be absorbed in just one view. Not to mention, Gretel & Hansel (2020) has a way to handle the problem too simply, destroying the danger that audiences feel from the beginning to the end of the film. Image - Sound: A little bit back for the film is the image part. Gretel & Hansel uses square frames to bring a sense of nostalgia, true to the old stories of the Grim brothers. The film uses green tones, in harmony withsuper beautiful Nordic nature shotsand some mysterious iconic images, creating an extremely strange world in the eyes of viewers.

The film uses a number of close-up corners of the actor's face to clearly express the character's emotions to viewers. The effects of the film are normal, not as good as many other low-budget films.
