From version iOS 15.4 it is now possible to unlock the iPhone despite the mask . Unfortunately, this new feature does not work with an older iPhone, for example one from X, but on iPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max or iPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max.

In order to use the new function, you need to update your iPhone to the new version. If you haven't turned on automatic installation of software updates, tap Settings > General > Software update . Install iOS 15.4 version now .

If you have installed the new version on your iPhone, you will be asked if you want to use Face ID with a mask . Of course, you can also set up this function later under the settings.
