Video What is Superfetch? Should disable Superfetch Services on Win 10
In Ben Computer's article on how to speed up your computer, I mentioned turning off Superfetch to speed up windows . The Superfetch service is one of the causes that can cause slowdowns in Windows 10, 7 computers.
And in this article, let Ben Computer learn about how to disable Server Host Superfetch .
Superfetch was first known on Windows Vista - a rather old operating system that has no longer been supported by Microsoft . In terms of features, Superfetch helps to manage system memory on the computer operating system to improve speed efficiency.
Currently, the Superfetch feature that is available on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 is still available.
Can be understood simply as Superfetch as a computer memory manager on Windows
Yet, according to many reflecting on forum communities, Superfetch is one reason that can affect the performance of some applications. So disabling the Superfetch service has a lot to do with the computer, or is Superfetch really necessary in other words? We'll get to the next one.
Is Superfetch service necessary for the computer?
To say Superfetch is useless is completely incorrect, because on the positive side Superfetch is very useful in some cases. For example, if you use a new generation computer with an average or higher configuration, this service will help make the software you are using smoother.
However, if we dig deeper, we can see that Superfetch causes some of the following problems:
Superfetch always runs in the background under Windows system. That means, it uses the computer's CPU and RAM => Takes of resources.
Superfetch doesn't save all of your used apps in RAM, but only a portion so you can start up faster.
On boot, Superfetch preloads a bunch of data from the hard drive to RAM. If your computer frequently has 100% Full Disk error when booting up your computer, maybe Superfetch is the cause of that.
The speed that Superfetch brings is negligible if your computer is equipped with an SSD hard drive. Because using SSD will help the computer start the computer, applications and processing tasks more smoothly.
In short, to answer the question "Is Superfetch necessary?" then the answer I give is no. And disabling superfetch has nothing to do with the computer or not.
And in the next section let's learn about ways to disable superfetch on Windows operating systems.
Also, if your computer is too slow, I recommend you upgrade to an SSD because this is the fastest and easiest way to speed up your computer. The current SSD price is also relatively cheap compared to a few years ago. There are about 500k to buy a good SSD. If you are interested, you can consult Ben Computer. Consult the SSD now.
