Surely you have asked yourself which processor is installed in the computer. On Windows 10, there are different methods to find out the CPU designation. The following methods are available to read the processor from your Windows PC.

Which processor?
There are many models on the market and more are being added all the time.
At the latest when you are thinking about upgrading your computer, you would like to know which CPU is installed in my computer or laptop? There are different processors, but which one is built in?
1. The quickest way to find out the processor is to do the following:
Use the [Windows] + [Pause].
See device specifications for the processor type

2. Read processor via DirectX
You can also read out the designation of the processor via DirectX .
Type dxdiag in the Windows 10 search bar and confirm with [Enter] .

3. View CPU information under System.
Another way to read the CPU is via the system in Windows 10.
Launch Settings and click System.
Click About on the left
4. Read processor via the Windows symbol
Press the Windows +x key combination and select System .
In the menu item "Info" and you can read the processor type.
5. CPU Info via Control Panel
You can also use the system control to get information about the processor.
System and Security > System .
6. Read out processor via system information
Type system information in the Windows 10 search bar. You get a lot of information about the computer. In the "Processor" area you will see the designation:

7. View CPU information under Device Manager
Another way to view information about your processor is to press Windows + X again and select Device Manager

When the Device Manager is started, the exact type of your processor is displayed under Processors .

8. Determine processor information with software CPU-Z
If you want to know more information about your processor , use the free program CPU-Z

Download and install CPU-Z. Once you start CPU-Z, CPU information will be shown
