For iPhone models from iPhone X onwards, you can press and hold the flashlight icon just outside the lock screen to turn the flashlight on / off.
This way to turn on and off the flashlight is applicable to iPhone 8 , 8 Plus , 7 , 7 Plus , 6s , 6s Plus , SE (2016) , SE (2020) , 6 , 6 Plus .
Step 1: Outside the lock screen, swipe up from the bottom to access the Control Center .
Step 2: Press the flashlight icon to turn on / off the flashlight.
