Windows 11 introduces an interesting feature called Dynamic Lighting, a system to control RGB lighting on devices such as laptops, keyboards, mice, and other connected devices. With Dynamic Lighting, users can synchronize and customize lighting effects across various compatible devices without the need for third-party software. Here is a guide to using Dynamic Lighting Windows 11 to adjust RGB lighting.
How to use Dynamic Lighting Windows 11
Step 1:
Press Win + I to open settings on your computer, then click Personalization to personalize your computer.

Step 2:
Looking at the content next to it, click on Dynamic Lighting to adjust the RGB lights on your computer.

Step 3:
Go to the Dynamic Lighting settings interface on Windows 11. First you need to enable Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices .

Next, scroll down below at Effect we choose RGB lights with different effects .
- Solid Color: Select a color for the light.
- Breathing: Set the lights to gently blink, gradually brighten and dim.
- Rainbow: Creates a repeating effect of multiple colors.
- Wave: Creates waves that run through the LED..
- Wheel: Create a rotating color wheel to create a spinning effect.
- Gradient: Blending two or more colors.

Step 4:
When you select an RGB lighting effect for your device, there will be an extension for that effect below, with content depending on the type of light you use.
For example, choosing the Rainbow effect type adds color transition speed and color transition direction of the light.

Note Dynamic Lighting Windows 11 is only compatible with devices with RGB LEDs that use the HID LampArray standard.
