A Quiet Place - A Quiet Place is a fairly new horror film that was released in the world two weeks ago, but today Vietnamese audiences are immersed in the scary feeling of silence in the film. This is a horror film with the highest rating from film critics ever. Let's join WebTech360 to find out why movies are so loved by the world ..
Plot: The film is set in a world where a creature is blind but has extremely developed hearing along with super strong physical and running speed like Flash. If you make a sound, they will immediately come and "treat" you like a brutal predator. The Abbott family is one of the few remaining people on earth and they adapt themselves by exchanging with each other through hand language (sign language), walking barefoot to limit noise, spreading sand on the pathways, gathering supplies and medicine as well as planting and hunting fish to sustain life.

The Abbott family lost their third child once they neglected to let the baby make a noise and this loss tormented each family member every day. Until one day, when the wife went into labor, this was also the time when the Abbott family was in most danger from the monsters lurking outside because it was too difficult to keep silent during such painful moments. WebTech360 just tells the storyline, so if you are interested, you will go to theaters to find out what will happen next.
Please note that this is a horror film, a movie about cannibal monsters, not the devil genre. However, your fear of watching this movie is even worse than the recent ghost movies we often watch. The beauty of the film is to give viewers a quiet and peaceful atmosphere throughout the movie, but this is also fertile ground for filmmakers to instill fear in the audience with the appearance or echo of the movie. unexpected noises. You are afraid because you know something will happen in silence, but you don't know when it will happen so when it happens you will have a heart attack twice.
The first part of the movie is a bit long and you may feel a bit bored during the first 15 minutes of the movie because it has not adapted to the silent atmosphere of the movie. But when you step through the middle of the movie, you will have to strain your eyes and hold your breath to see what will happen to the Abbott family members. Although the ending is quite open and somewhat short, but according to WebTech360, filmmakers avoid repetition boring to audiences as well as a budget of 17 million USD, then it is okay to do it.
The film has only a few lines, but the audience still fully understands the feelings of the characters, this is because the actors' acting is too immersive, but this will go deeper. In this part, I want to talk about the emotions that the film brings besides the horror scenes of heart attack. The death of a small child haunted every member of the family, whether it was an adult or a child. They blame me for not doing this, for doing that so that the baby has to die forever. That feeling I feel very real and very sympathetic so this episode gives me a lot of emotions.
A scene near the end of the film also gives the vibe of a father's scream. That scream was the deliverance of the silence for a long time, the resentment, the inability and also the hope for the people he loved. Parents are still the ones who love their children the most and let their children die, they themselves are the ones who suffer the most. The film excelled in pushing viewers' emotions through its emphasis on sacred family affection.
Going back to the plot of the movie, it must be admitted that the plot is quite simple like other horror movies and there are no unexpected turns that make the audience feel interesting. A Quiet Place chooses a storytelling strategy that focuses on how the whole family fights the pursuit of monsters. The movie is just really appealing in the middle of the film and the horror is slowly pushed up in the creepy silence. However, the audience may have to scream and fear for the characters while watching the movie, but when out of the theater, viewers will certainly not be obsessed for a long time or imagine simple ghost images. is because in the context of the movie people are scared, but in real life, that fear completely disappears.
In general, the content of Silent Land is not new, but the way to make the fear is quite interesting and the family feeling is fully and honestly described. So WebTech360 scores this section 7.5 out of 10 .
Image: A Quiet Place has a variety of colors because many different scenes are appropriately arranged by filmmakers, so the image in the movie is really beautiful. From the red maple forests, green corn fields, the wooden house with shimmering candles ..., all are very artistic and eye-catching.
Another interesting feature of movie images is the realism. You have to go to the cinema to see the reality of the movie and this creates fear for the audience. For example, it is only a nail episode, but the viewer has enough feathers, duck feathers. For the monster, CGI's technique did quite well, although it looked a bit fake, it still created terrible horror for the viewers. WebTech360 dot 7.5 / 10 film image .
Audio: Perhaps this is the part where WebTech360 peaked the movie. As mentioned above, the silence that the movie brings to viewers is the place for filmmakers to unleash their creativity with horror details and highlight sound and music like never before. Imagine you are used to the silent atmosphere, suddenly it is destroyed by a melodious love tune, surely experiencing that song will make you more adventurous than usual many times.
In fact, the director and composer are so talented in knowing when to silence, knowing when to make sound and knowing when to let the music most motivate viewers. Sound experience in this movie somehow makes WebTech360 feel so excited. Therefore, WebTech360 scores 8.5 / 10 .
Acting: As mentioned above, the film has too little dialogue, but it is the extreme acting of the cast in the film that makes the film extremely quality and emotional. The cast in the movie is only 8 people, of which 4 can appear for a few seconds, so WebTech360 only revolves around 4 main characters of the film.
The father character played by John Krashinski makes him truly the father of the 2018 screen. Despite starring in many movies, his name is not so prominent, but with his role in A Quiet Place, he has confirmed that his talent for acting. With only his eyes, he showed the viewers the extreme love for his family and the pain that tormented him when he could not protect his family. Tall, handsome and he is also extremely charming with his strong and passionate hand language gestures.
The next great acting must be the wife played by Emily Blunt. She has the most famous movies with the participation in many famous works such as Egde of Tomorrow, Into the Wood…. and through The Land of Silence, I find her acting really respectable. Thanks to Emily's role and her facial expression, the audience feels really scared of the disgusting monsters out there. The love for her husband and the torture of losing a child is also dull in this character. However, Emily's facial expression makes viewers believe in her bravery and makes the details reasonable.
The character of the second son portrayed by Noah Rupe also makes WebTech360 satisfied because of his cuteness and adorable fearful face. The character that I regret the most is the eldest sister played by Millicent Simmonds. Perhaps casting the actor with this inappropriate expression made the scenes with the character down, but sadly this character took up the most scenes in the movie. With a face that is difficult to create sympathy, making her acting inert and unable to push viewers' emotions like how her father, mother and younger brother did. WebTech360 scores 8/10 for the film acting.
International scale:
IMDB: 8.1 (60,405 reviews)
Metascore: 82 /100
Rotten Tomatoes: 95/100 (fresh tomato)
In short , A Quiet Place - The Land of Silence is a new genre of horror that attracts viewers with the hunt of monsters. The movie's creepiness is better than the other ghost movies we've seen before, but it's a bit too scary to pee or not dare to eat or drink. WebTech360 thinks that the movie could have been better if the beginning was shortened and extended the time for the ending and cast another actor in place of Millicent. The movie is still worth watching this week, if you go to see it, remember to share with WebTech360.
