Steam Top Sellers for the Week of October 12, 2026: What Rose and Fell
Steam Top Sellers for the Week of October 12, 2026: What Rose and Fell
Steam’s latest U.S. weekly chart, published Tuesday, October 13, covers October 6–13, 2026. Star Wars: Galactic Racer moved into first place, while Risk of Rain 2 and ARC Raiders made two of the largest climbs among established games. AION 2 and Gears of War: E-Day slipped from the top two, and several new or returning products entered the top 20.
This is the chart available for the recurring week of October 12. Steam labels it by its Tuesday-to-Tuesday reporting window, rather than by a Monday-to-Sunday calendar week. The chart is a revenue ranking, not a count of copies sold or players online.
A desktop gaming setup displays an abstract rise-and-fall chart, illustrating the weekly movement of games in Steam’s revenue rankings.
What to know before reading the chart
Steam’s U.S. weekly chart lists the top 100 products by revenue. Steam’s chart page says it is published Tuesday at 1 a.m. Pacific Time. The October 13 edition covers Tuesday, October 6 through Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Valve’s Steamworks documentation explains that Top Sellers can reflect spending from a game’s base purchase, downloadable content (DLC), and in-game transactions. Free-to-play games can therefore rank alongside paid games when players spend money on them.
A rank change compares a title’s chart position with the prior week. “Returning” means it reappeared after not placing in the chart’s previous weekly window; “New” marks a first appearance in this chart context. A sharp rise signals a substantial movement in the revenue list, but Steam does not publish exact sales totals or explain the reason for each change. Discounts, releases, downloadable content, and in-game purchases can all coincide with a ranking shift; the chart alone cannot prove which factor caused it.
The headline: Star Wars: Galactic Racer takes No. 1
Star Wars: Galactic Racer climbed 12 places to No. 1 at 9.99, after appearing at No. 13 the week before. It was the largest title at the top of the U.S. list, while free-to-play Dota 2 returned at No. 2. AION 2, which had led the prior week, fell two places to No. 3. Gears of War: E-Day also dropped two places, landing at No. 4.
The top four therefore mixed a returning free-to-play game, two established chart leaders that lost ground, and a major upward move by Galactic Racer. That is a snapshot of revenue performance for this reporting period; it is not a verdict on long-term popularity or player counts.
Biggest risers and other notable changes
Risk of Rain 2 surged 84 places to No. 5, listed at 67% off (.24, down from 4.99). This is the week’s most dramatic climb among established games in the top 20. Its DLC, Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts, appeared separately at No. 7 as a new chart entry, listed at 4.99.
Overwatch rose 69 places to No. 8, and ARC Raiders advanced 62 places to No. 9 while listed at 50% off (9.99, down from 9.99). ARC Raiders’ Frozen Trail Collector Set also debuted at No. 20 for 9.99.
MapleStory climbed 37 places to No. 16. Dead by Daylight rose 17 places to No. 14, while Counter-Strike 2 fell two places to No. 6.
New chart entries included Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival at No. 10, listed at 9.99, and the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Expansion at No. 15, listed at 9.99. The base game, Dragon’s Dogma 2, returned at No. 12.
These entries show why it helps to read the product name and price together. A chart can list a game, an expansion, or a separate add-on as distinct products, while Valve’s documentation says DLC and in-game revenue also contribute to a game’s Top Sellers performance.
Which games lost ground?
ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE fell 16 places to No. 19, the largest drop among titles in this week’s top 20 that also appeared in the previous period. Dressmaker slid nine places to No. 17, WARDOGS declined five to No. 11, and Marvel Rivals fell three to No. 13. The Steam Deck product listing dropped six places to No. 18.
These moves describe rank, not a measured drop in units, revenue dollars, or active users. A product may fall because another release earned more during the same week, even if its own sales remain healthy. The weekly chart does not include enough information to quantify that distinction.
How to use the list as a new Steam shopper
Start with the chart’s scope. This is the United States chart for October 6–13, 2026. Rankings can differ by country and from Steam’s live chart.
Read the rank and change together. A high position shows where a product landed; the arrow and number show movement against the preceding week.
Check the exact product. Confirm whether an entry is the base game, DLC, an add-on, or hardware before comparing it with another title.
Review price and store details before buying. A chart position is not a review score or recommendation. Check the game’s Steam page for its current price, system requirements, supported features, and recent player reviews.
A common mistake is treating the Top Sellers list as a popularity or quality leaderboard. Steam’s own documentation describes a revenue-based list and notes that regional charts can differ. For player activity, look at a player-count chart; for fit and quality, assess the game’s store information and reviews separately.
Steam’s chart is updated weekly and its rankings reflect revenue, including eligible DLC and in-game purchases. It does not reveal exact revenue, copies sold, user counts, or the cause of any individual movement. Those limits matter when interpreting a large jump: the placement is confirmed, but the chart by itself does not establish why it happened.
