Steam Top Sellers, Week of October 26, 2026: U.S. Games Rising and Falling
Steam’s latest U.S. weekly top sellers show FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE, Cyberpunk 2077, and HELLDIVERS 2 climbing. See verified October 20–27 ranks.
Reporting date: October 28, 2026. Chart period: October 20–27, 2026. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 remains No. 1 on Steam's U.S. weekly top sellers chart, but the biggest story below it is how quickly the order changed. FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE climbed 44 places to No. 2, Cyberpunk 2077 rose 23 places to No. 3, and HELLDIVERS 2 jumped 26 places to No. 6. Meanwhile, AION 2 and Counter-Strike 2 each slipped two positions. These are rankings from Valve's latest completed U.S. revenue chart, not estimated unit sales or a real-time player leaderboard.
The editorial week begins Monday, October 26, but the full October 26–November 1 calendar week is not complete as of October 28. Steam's most recent published weekly chart instead covers Tuesday, October 20, through Tuesday, October 27. It is the appropriate verified snapshot for this update; no results for the unfinished week are being projected. Steam's page describes its weekly Top 100 as products ranked by revenue and says weekly lists are published Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. Pacific Time. On October 27, that is Pacific Daylight Time (PDT, UTC−07:00), equivalent to 4:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT, UTC−04:00) and 08:00 UTC.
All positions and movements below come from the official U.S. weekly chart for October 20–27. Movement compares a product's place with the preceding published week, October 13–20. A move of 44 means 44 rank positions, not a 44% increase in revenue.
| U.S. rank | Product | Change vs. prior week |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 | Unchanged |
| 2 | FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE | Up 44 |
| 3 | Cyberpunk 2077 | Up 23 |
| 4 | AION 2 | Down 2 |
| 5 | Counter-Strike 2 | Down 2 |
| 6 | HELLDIVERS 2 | Up 26 |
| 7 | Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty | Up 54 |
| 8 | Marvel Rivals | Down 3 |
| 9 | MapleStory | Up 30 |
| 10 | Warframe | Up 4 |
This week's first place is a hold rather than a new leader. The October 13–20 official U.S. chart also had Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 at No. 1. The difference is the group chasing it: FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE and Cyberpunk 2077 have displaced AION 2 and Counter-Strike 2 from the next two spots.
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE's move from No. 46 to No. 2 makes it one of the week's clearest climbs in the United States. This is a comparison of published ranking positions; Steam does not disclose how many copies were purchased or how much revenue the game generated. Its rank alone cannot establish whether the increase came from launch-week interest, marketing, reviews, or another factor.
Cyberpunk 2077 rose from No. 26 to No. 3, while its Phantom Liberty expansion moved from No. 61 to No. 7. Seeing both entries rise in the same chart is noteworthy, but their positions do not establish what specifically caused the changes. Valve's system can show an individual add-on as a chart entry while also accounting for relevant additional-content spending in its ranking model. Do not treat the two rankings as a published breakdown of base-game and expansion sales.
HELLDIVERS 2 climbed 26 spots to No. 6, and MapleStory moved 30 spots to No. 9. Farther down the list, THE FINALS reached No. 18 after a 73-place gain, a larger numerical rise than any of the top-10 movers named above. Phantom Blade Zero also jumped 66 positions to No. 12; Steam labels it a pre-purchase on this chart. These numbers are useful signals of changing weekly revenue position, but they are not proof of rising concurrent player counts.
Not every well-known entry moved upward. AION 2 declined from No. 2 to No. 4, Counter-Strike 2 from No. 3 to No. 5, and Marvel Rivals from No. 5 to No. 8. Those changes describe relative positions among all ranked products; they do not necessarily mean each game earned less money than it did the previous week.
Among paid games, STAR WARS: Galactic Racer fell from No. 6 to No. 13, Enshrouded from No. 8 to No. 15, and WARDOGS from No. 11 to No. 16. Scam With Your Friends moved from No. 12 to No. 20. The previous week's No. 4 Planet Zoo 2, No. 7 Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, No. 9 over the hill, and No. 10 Hood Warfare 2 were all absent from the current U.S. top 20. That is a top-20 observation, not a claim they vanished from Steam's full Top 100.
Moon Sweepers appears as New at No. 17 on the current U.S. weekly list. Steam Deck is No. 11, up two spots, and is hardware rather than a game. This is why it is more accurate to describe the official chart as a ranking of Steam products than as a pure list of game releases.
Illustrative example, not a real user account or test: Imagine Maya, a PC player in the United States, checking this list to decide what deserves a closer look this weekend. She notices FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE at No. 2 and THE FINALS jumping to No. 18. Neither result tells her which game fits her interests, which has a healthier player community, or which offers better value. It only tells her those products occupied those revenue positions during the reported week.
Maya can use the ranking as a discovery shortcut. First she confirms that the page is set to United States rather than Global, and that the date range ends October 27. Next she opens the relevant store pages, checks current prices and system requirements, and reads recent user reviews and developer updates. If she is considering a free-to-play title such as THE FINALS or MapleStory, she also looks at what optional purchases exist instead of assuming that a high chart rank means paid downloads.
For a sharper comparison, she looks at each title's prior-week rank. FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE moving from No. 46 to No. 2 is a significant change in placement. In contrast, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 holding No. 1 indicates stability in relative rank, but says nothing about whether its revenue increased or decreased. The method turns a dramatic-looking chart into a useful, bounded observation.
Steam allows country-specific and global views, and the two are not interchangeable. For October 20–27, the official global weekly chart places Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 first, Dota 2 second, Phantom Blade Zero third, Counter-Strike 2 fourth, and Cyberpunk 2077 fifth. By comparison, the U.S. list places FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE second and Cyberpunk 2077 third. This article uses the U.S. chart because its intended audience is the United States. Global ranks are mentioned solely to explain the difference in geographic scope.
Valve's Steamworks Top Sellers documentation says its charts are driven by spending, including game purchases, downloadable content, and in-game transactions. Free-to-play games can therefore rank alongside products with an upfront price. Valve also explains in its original Steam Charts announcement that the weekly lists compare revenue across weekly periods and display rank movement.
The public rankings do not provide the underlying dollar totals, numbers of units sold, or causal explanations for a move. A jump can result from a product improving relative to others, competitors declining, or both. Even a title that moves down could have held steady in revenue while other products earned more. These limitations matter when interpreting both major surges and apparent setbacks.
The latest completed U.S. Steam Top Sellers week has one steady leader and several prominent climbers. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 holds first, while FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE, Cyberpunk 2077, and HELLDIVERS 2 occupy three of the next five positions after large gains. Phantom Blade Zero and THE FINALS also made substantial moves outside the top 10. For readers following the week of October 26, the next official Steam release will cover another Tuesday-to-Tuesday reporting period; it should not be mislabeled as an exact Monday-to-Sunday October 26–November 1 result. The current chart is the latest verified completed data available for this October 28 update.
