Story: The film is set in 1918 in the Tumbbad regionof India . Vinayak lives with his mother and younger brother in poverty, so he always wants to find the treasure in the castle of his old uncle Sarkaar. However, due to some events, the whole family had to move to another place to live and Vinayak's mother forbade the boy to go to that castle. It was not until 14 years later that Vinayak returned to Tumbbad and determined to find gold here even though it was faced with the devil. What will happen to Vinayak? Actually, for you to understand about this movie, maybe WebTech360 has to spoil the movie's content a bit because most of the translations on the internet are a bit confused, making it difficult for viewers to understand Tumbbad 's story (2018 ) . According to the film, in Hinduism , the Goddess of Prosperity is the person who shapes the human world. The earth she created in her womb and this is the place where the goddess stores gold, silver and food. She has 16 children, of which Hastar is the first son and also the one she loves most.

However, Hastar is extremely evil and greedy, so he steals gold and food from his mother. The goddess ignores Hastar's stealing gold, but when he touches the food (which feeds the gods and humans), his brothers get into a rage and teach Hastar a lesson. Because of being beaten by the council, Hastar hardly survived, but his mother came to the rescue, in return Hastar will forever be in the womb of the goddess and never be worshiped by humans.

However, the Vinayak family line from ancient times went against the legend by worshiping Hastar and hoping to get more gold and silver from this god. Perhaps this family has found a way to get Hastar 's gold, so they become a family, building a magnificent mansion but the gods get angry so natural disasters, storms poured down on Tumbbad all day and night.

The way they get gold from Hastar is as follows. Getting inside the box is the womb of the Goddess of Prosperity , throwing the dough to lure Hastar to eat (because in the past Hastar could not get food, he was beaten) and took the opportunity to grab the gold bag that Hastar stolen from his mother. If he is not agile and skillful but let Hastar bite, he will be transformed into a zombie- like form . These corpses are afraid of mentioning Hastar 's name, so just recite the spell above and they'll automatically fall asleep.

Vinayak's father died early, but the film did not state the reason. So in order to make a living, Vinayak's mother had to serve her brother-in-law, Sarkaar, and even serve him sexually. Instead, with its three-part texture and paranormal storytelling and ending with meaningful lessons, WebTech360 feels Tumbbad color more like a fairy tale than a movie. . Although there are not many climaxes, the details just happen and the unexpected factor is not high, but the film has a strange attraction for viewers. Perhaps the audience is curious to see what the cost of greed is, so they try to watch it until the very end.

Indeed, it is not until the end of the film that we can see what the cost of greed is. However, this message is not strong enough for viewers to think about and change their behavior. The cause of the above statement is because according to Tumbbad , thanks to greed that for ten years, Vinayak has been living in silk, gold and silver and rich. It was not until he was old and weak that he had to pay the price for his greed. This of the movie unintentionally encourages us to be greedy, because by doing that, we will be rich and rich, we will not be happy, but poor will surely suffer.

In addition to greed, Tumbbad also indirectly spoke of discrimination against women, especially the resignation of wives in Indian society to liberation. The ending of the movie can be considered relatively open and maybe a sequel will be coming? WebTech360 found that the film's plot just stopped at the normal level, compared to Vietnamese fairy tales shown on HTV , it is still far behind. So, I grade this part 6.5 / 10 .

Image - sound: Create god Hastar in Tumbbad looks quite scary but the corrupt character of this pretty low so the viewer does not feel scared at all. The womb of the goddess of prosperity is staged a bit ugly, looking at the 1986 effects of the movie Tay Du Ky . The costume design and character designs are quite interesting and new to Indian films, thereby helping the film bring better mythological colors. The sound of the movie is fine, creating a bit of drama and tension. WebTech360 marks this part 7/10 .

Acting : WebTech360 does not appreciate the actors' performances in Tumbbad because I feel like they are acting rather than acting. Although the character is quite beautiful and strange, the characters' images are not well built and do not really leave a strong impression on viewers.
