2026 ED138: Why Astronomers Call It a Dwarf Planet Candidate
Learn what makes 2026 ED138 a dwarf planet candidate, how the IAU defines dwarf planets, and which measurements could confirm its status.
The Milwaukee Brewers' 2026 World Series championship parade is officially scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Milwaukee, Central Daylight Time (CDT, UTC−05:00)—that's 15:00 UTC. The procession starts at North 4th Street and West Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee and ends at Henry Maier Festival Park, where the championship rally and fan festival will be held. The parade and general festival grounds are free to attend, subject to capacity limits at the park. The Brewers maintain the event schedule, route map, and latest notices on their official championship celebration page.
All times below are for Friday, October 30 in Milwaukee, CDT (UTC−05:00). Daylight saving time does not end in Wisconsin until November 1, so the October 30 celebration uses CDT rather than Central Standard Time.
| Event | Milwaukee time (CDT) | UTC |
|---|---|---|
| Shuttle buses begin departing American Family Field | 7:00 a.m. | 12:00 |
| Henry Maier Festival Park gates open | 8:00 a.m. | 13:00 |
| Parade of Champions begins | 10:00 a.m. | 15:00 |
| Last scheduled shuttle departure from American Family Field | 11:30 a.m. | 16:30 |
| Festival programming scheduled to end | 3:00 p.m. | 20:00 |
These are published start, gate, shuttle, and festival times—not estimates of when a float will reach any particular corner. The Brewers have not published a guaranteed arrival time for every viewing location. Check the team's event page before leaving, especially for changes to programming or shuttle operations.
The confirmed starting point is North 4th Street at West Wisconsin Avenue. The published route moves east along Wisconsin Avenue, turns north onto Jefferson Street, east onto Mason Street, south onto Jackson Street, and east onto Chicago Street before reaching Henry Maier Festival Park, also known as the Summerfest grounds. Use the route graphic on the Brewers' official page for the exact viewing corridor rather than relying on an old Milwaukee championship-parade map.
If your priority is seeing players pass by, choose a public spot along the designated parade route and arrive early. If you prefer one destination with food, music, video screens, and the later rally, consider going straight to Henry Maier Festival Park. Screens at the festival grounds are scheduled to show the parade live, so you do not have to stand on Wisconsin Avenue to follow the procession.
Downtown Milwaukee will have street closures and traffic restrictions during the celebration. As of October 29, the team's public guidance said specific closure times would be posted when confirmed; do not treat a guessed closure schedule as official. Check the City of Milwaukee street-closure notices and Milwaukee County Transit System service alerts for detours and stop changes.
For buses, use the MCTS trip planner and Umo app information before setting out, then check alerts again for your return trip. Bus stops near the route may be inaccessible while the parade passes. If someone is dropping you off or you are using a rideshare, agree on a meeting point outside the closed streets and allow extra walking time.
The Brewers offer free parking at American Family Field for fans using their event shuttle, but the shuttle itself requires a $5 ticket per passenger. Select a shuttle time slot through the team's event page, park in the lot identified with your purchase, and arrive about 30 minutes before your reserved departure. Outbound buses are scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. CDT; the team says return service will be provided, with further details to follow. Shuttle tickets and the separate amphitheater tickets are not interchangeable.
Downtown parking is expected to be extremely limited. If you do drive directly downtown, confirm your garage is accessible despite street closures and make a plan for getting out after the rally.
Watching the parade is free. General admission to Henry Maier Festival Park is also free, on a first-come, first-served basis until the grounds reach capacity. No general admission ticket is required to enjoy the festival area's music, screens, food vendors, or merchandise stands; purchases inside are separate.
There is one important exception: the program inside the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, including stage presentations, is ticketed. Public ticket sales are scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Milwaukee CDT (UTC−05:00), or 19:00 UTC. Visit the Brewers' official event page for the purchase link, price, and availability rather than buying from an unverified social media post. The rally speeches will also be shown on video boards throughout the free festival grounds.
Plan for hours outdoors, standing and walking. Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate layers, water as permitted by venue rules, and a charged phone are sensible basics. Set a meeting place if attending with children or a group; mobile service can be unreliable in a large crowd.
At Henry Maier Festival Park, security screening includes metal detectors and bag checks. The event's published bag rules allow clear bags no larger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches, or small non-clear clutches, wallets, and fanny packs measuring 6 by 9 inches or less. For medical and family exceptions, prohibited items, and last-minute policy changes, review the venue's official entry FAQs. Do not assume an umbrella, large backpack, or chair will be admitted.
The Brewers say the first 50,000 fans at the festival rally will receive a limited-edition championship towel, while supplies last. That is not a reason to assume a particular arrival time guarantees one. Accessible viewing arrangements and additional weather procedures may be updated as the event approaches; verify current guidance directly with the organizers.
Start with Brewers.com/parade. It is the primary source for the schedule, route graphic, shuttle reservations, amphitheater ticket information, and changes due to weather or crowd conditions. The team also directs fans to its official social media channels. For event context, see the MLB championship parade announcement.
Can't attend in person? The Brewers say the celebration will be streamed free on Brewers.com. Open the team's official site on October 30 and look for the live presentation. Before heading downtown, recheck three things: your exact viewing or rally destination, your return transportation, and the latest published entry or traffic restrictions. That simple plan will help you spend more time celebrating Milwaukee's first Brewers World Series title and less time looking for a way in or out.
