Team Ricochet, the developer of the anti- hack/cheat software Recochet for the game Call of Duty , has just released some notable updates. Ricochet emphasizes a rather innovative anti-hack method that can make hackers/cheaters extremely annoyed.
Accordingly, the new anti-hack/cheat method will help genuine gamers become invisible to game hackers. Thanks to that, no matter what hacking software they use, game hackers will not be able to win against genuine gamers.
"Hackers will not see characters, bullets, or even hear sounds from real players," Team Ricochet shared. "Of course, real players can see the hackers and punish them appropriately."

Making genuine players invisible is the latest anti-hacking measure that Call of Duty has applied. Previously, this game has implemented an anti-hacking method called Damage Shield to make the bullets fired by the game hackers not cause any damage to genuine players.
While Team Ricochet has only just revealed the stealth feature, it appears to have been implemented in some form in Call of Duty: Warzone since mid-February. A video showing the anti-cheat method in action was posted on Twitter.
The Call of Duty developer says it has banned tens of thousands of hackers in recent months, but it still lets some hackers go so it can collect the data it needs to identify and stop hacking/cheating.
Honest players are also encouraged to continue reporting game hackers manually. This will help developers improve their automated hack/cheat detection features.
Ricochet's kernel-level anti-cheat driver, which runs locally on your computer, previously only supported Call of Duty: Warzone, but now also supports Vanguard. According to Eurogamer, Ricochet's anti-cheat system has long had server-side components for both versions of Call of Duty.
In the blog post, Ricochet also confirmed that they have banned an additional 54,000 accounts since the last major update. That update saw over 90,000 accounts banned. Banned players will naturally be removed from the leaderboards.
As technology develops, game hacking/cheating methods are becoming more and more sophisticated. Therefore, game companies always have to think of new and creative ways to fight cheaters, and the methods that Call of Duty is applying are expected to become the standard for the gaming industry in the future.
