It is known that the ChatGPT problem started on the night of December 11 and globally, users encountered errors in all versions including free and ChatGPT Plus - the paid version.
According to initial information, users had difficulty accessing ChatGPT, but then the website stopped working completely, only displaying the message: "ChatGPT is currently unavailable. Status: Known - We have identified the problem and are working to fix it."

This situation is not unique to ChatGPT, but also appears on Sora, another OpenAI service that allows users to create videos from text.
OpenAI has now notified users on social media, saying that they have identified the issue and are working to fix it. The cause may be due to OpenAI's application programming interfaces (APIs).
"We are aware of the API bug report. We have identified the issue and are deploying a fix as quickly as possible to restore the service to normal. We apologize for the downtime," an OpenAI representative shared .
This is not the first time ChatGPT has experienced a serious global outage like this. Last June, ChatGPT experienced a similar outage worldwide, and it took three days to resolve the issue.
If you regularly use this chat bot to support your work and study, you can use other AI chatbots such as Gemini, Copilot, Claude... to temporarily replace ChatGPT.
