Recently, a rare incident happened in China. Specifically, on the forum of the video game called " War Thunder ", a post appeared containing documents considered to be top secret military information. This post was by a Chinese gamer.
What motivated this gamer to do this? Is he an international spy?
It turned out that this gamer discovered that the game developers had messed up the parameters of the tanks in the game. Therefore, he posted top secret military documents on the forum along with a request for the game dev to change the stats of the tanks in the game to match the real ones.

According to Kotaku, the document that the gamer posted included a photo of a diagram of the weapon used by the Chinese tank. Right above the photo is a real part.
Although the post was quickly deleted from the War Thunder forums, the photo was downloaded by many people and shared in many different places.
"Our administrators immediately banned this user and deleted his account because the information he posted was classified as top secret in China. We prohibit posting information about any vehicle from any country on the War Thunder forum and the game developers never use these materials in their work ," a War Thunder game manager shared.
"We understand that our players want the game to be as authentic as possible, but we ask that they do not do anything illegal and endanger their safety as well as the safety of our community members. War Thunder always tries its best to research information about vehicles using legally available tools, and scandals like this clearly do not benefit our efforts."
This is not the first time gamers have revealed top secret national information on the War Thunder gaming forum.
In July 2021, gamers got into an argument over how the game War Thunder depicted the British Challenger 2 main battle tank. To settle the dispute, they posted the Challenger 2 user manual on the forum, which only an idiot would do. The UK Ministry of Defense immediately launched an investigation into the incident.
Just a short time later, War Thunder gamers were arguing again about the description of the French Leclerc main battle tank. Naturally, similar to the previous time, gamers posted the Leclerc's user manual on the forum.
Being addicted to games is not a bad thing, but being addicted to it to the point of being blind like the guys mentioned above is really alarming, guys!
