Reading List on Chrome is a useful new feature that allows you to save web pages into a visual list for easy access and reading later when needed. Reading List is displayed as a default button in the upper right corner of the screen. You just need to click this button to quickly access and manage your reading list.
This feature has been launched on Chrome platforms for iPhone, iPad and PC. However, it is only now that Google has brought it to Chrome Android - but it is only in the form of a flag (test) and not officially.
If you want to experience Chrome's Reading List feature on your Android device, just follow these simple steps.
( Warning: Features are flags in Chrome for a reason. They may still be under development, be unstable, negatively impact your browser's performance, and disappear without notice. Enabling a flag allows you to experience a feature early, but it also comes with the above risks.)
Enable “Reading List” on Google Chrome Android
First, open the Google Chrome app on your Android smartphone or tablet. Then, type “ chrome://flags ” in the address bar and press Enter.

Next, type the keyword “ Reading List ” into the search box. This will display a flag simply titled “ Reading List ”.

Look at the option box to the right of the flag, you will see the current status of the flag. Click on the down arrow, a menu will appear, click on the option “ Enabled ”.

Chrome will ask you to restart your browser to apply the changes. Click the “ Relaunch ” button and wait for Chrome to reopen.

How to use reading list on Chrome Android
Now, you can actually use this feature.
First, let's talk about adding websites to your Reading List. There are two ways to do this.
The first method is to simply press and hold any link to bring up the context menu. Then tap “ Read Later ”, the corresponding website will be added to your Reading List.

The second method is for situations where you are already on the website you want to add to your Reading List. First, tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Now, click on the star icon at the top of the menu.

A new menu will pop up from the bottom of the screen. Tap “ Reading List” to save the page.

To open Reading List, tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner again. This time, tap “ Bookmarks .”

You will see “ Reading List ” at the top of the Bookmarks page, tap on it.

The reading list is organized with unread pages at the top and read pages at the bottom. Additionally, unread pages are downloaded so you can access them offline.

That's all! It's not clear when Google will officially release this feature for Chrome Android, but you can still try it out for yourself if you want.
