How to play Taurus team DTCL season 14
Taurus TFT season 14 is a special clan with a permanent damage increase mechanism and the ability to drop gold when destroying enemies, very suitable for reroll gameplay or economic accumulation to snowball right from the beginning of the game.
Although the weakness is that it takes time to accumulate strength, the complete Taurus squad will become a destructive machine with both damage and resistance. Let's explore how to build a Taurus squad below.
Information about Taurus TFT season 14
Taurus generals gain Increased Damage and have a chance to drop gold when killing enemies. If you spend gold to reroll or buy XP in a round. Their Damage will increase permanently, but the gold requirement to reach the next bonus milestone will also increase (reroll counts as double the gold consumed). Activation condition: Taurus generals must have participated in combat in the previous round.
With the Golden Ox team build in this article, you can flexibly combine Golden Ox generals with other clans in Truth Arena season 14.
2 Taurus: 18% Increased Damage, 20% chance to drop gold.
4 Taurus: 20% Increased Damage, 30% chance to drop gold.
6 Taurus: 22% Increased Damage, 50% chance to drop gold, 8% chance to drop gold as equipment fragments.
This comp has a balance of tanks, physical damage, and magic damage, with Aphelios, Annie, and Viego as the main carries, while Alistar and Jarvan IV take on the defensive roles. Graves adds additional damage in the front line.
Taurus TFT Season 14 Lineup
Early game
Start with Alistar and Graves to activate the 2 Taurus milestone. Alistar will be the frontline tank with his passive damage reduction, while Graves will deal AoE damage with the game's tank line. If you find Jarvan IV early, add him to increase his resistance and physical damage. Otherwise, add any champion that can activate the clan in the team, but remember to balance between tank and damage.
At the same time, save money and reroll lightly to 2-star Alistar and Graves, taking advantage of Taurus' permanent damage increase mechanism.
Temporary equipment: You may not need to combine items right now, but you can ask Alistar to help you carry some tank items for Jarvan IV.
Mid game
At this point, if you have Annie or Aphelios, you should add them to the team to activate the Taurus buff. Otherwise, you can use any champion to activate the clan and balance the two elements of tank and damage. You still have to find Jarvan IV to increase the milestone if you find Annie or Aphelios and thicken the tank line.
Aphelios will use physical support items and Annie will use magic items, so consider your item selection if finding individual items is too difficult for you. Besides finding 4-gold champions, don't miss the opportunity to upgrade low-cost champions.
Endgame
The 6 bulls milestone is still the easiest you can get if you hit level 8, just find Viego and throw it in the team. The rest is a combination of high-cost champions and can boost the team's clan, depending on how many champions you find. You can choose to stop at level 8 and complete the team by leveling up or continue to level up to increase the slot and the chance of getting 5 gold champions.
You don't necessarily need to collect all 6 buffaloes if you find that the low-cost Taurus generals are too redundant. You can remove the low-cost 2-star Taurus generals and add more valuable 4-5 gold generals.
Put Alistar and Jarvan IV with other tank champions in the front line to withstand, Galio in the middle to protect the back line, and Aphelios, Viego, Annie, and other champions in the back line to deal damage. If you can't find Viego, you can leave 4 Taurus, focus on Annie and Aphelios, if this duo can both get 3 stars, you will definitely be TOP 4.
Standard items for Taurus champions in Truth Arena
Aphelios is considered the main force and you can use low-cost Marksmen to carry his items such as Jhin, Kindred, Jinx... with Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, Rageblade. Viego needs magic items and is suitable for items such as Jeweled Gauntlet, Rageblade, Spear of Shojin along with support items such as Hand of Justice, Titan's Power.
Alistar will help Jarvan IV with tank items. Annie needs all the same magic items as Viego, so she can help Viego with items if you see him appearing a lot in the late game.
Tips for playing Taurus formation
Smart Reroll: Focus on rerolling at level 4-6 to 3-star Alistar, Graves, and Jarvan IV, taking advantage of the permanent damage increase mechanic.
Positioning: Place Aphelios and Viego in the corners of the board, protected by Galio to avoid Assassins jumping in.
Flexible redirection: If you don't have enough 6 Taurus, you can stop at 4 Taurus and add structures like 4 Marksmen (with Senna, Jinx) or 4 Fighters (with Cho'Gath) and keep a strong damage dealer in the back row.
Gold Usage: Use the gold dropped from Taurus to level up or reroll, keeping a winning streak in the late game.
The Taurus comp in TFT Season 14 is a strong choice if you know how to take advantage of the reroll mechanism and the gold drop ability to snowball the match. With Aphelios and Viego as the main carries, Alistar and Jarvan IV as tanks, and support from Annie and Graves, you will have a balanced lineup between offense and defense.
