Instructions for creating Taskbar effects on Windows
To create Taskbar effects on Windows, users have many different ways and supporting applications to customize the Windows Taskbar to be more fresh. With these applications, the Taskbar on Windows has a completely new interface, creating interesting changes on the computer. Below are instructions for creating Taskbar effects on Windows.
How to use Taskbar+ to change the Taskbar interface on Windows
Step 1:
First, we download the Taskbar+ application for Windows from the link below.
You open the Taskbar+ application on your computer, then you will see the Taskbar interface change to transparent as shown below.

We can also change the Taskbar interface in the Taskbar+ application interface with the items as shown below.
First in the Desktop section , we proceed to change the effect for the taskbar. In Transparency Mode , select:
Normal: The default theme interface of the taskbar.
Opaque: Change theme with diverse color palette.
Clear: Change the theme for the taskbar with a transparent effect.
Acrylic: Change theme with Acrylic effect.
You can also enable Top Border to add borders to the Taskbar.
Step 4:
In addition, the interface also has some items to adjust the Taskbar interface on Windows.
Visible Window: The taskbar will change theme when opening an application.
Maximized Window: The taskbar changes theme every time the application window opens full screen.
Start Menu Opened: The taskbar changes theme when Start is opened.
Search Menu Opened: The taskbar changes theme when in the search bar.
Task View Opened: The taskbar changes theme every time the task manager is opened.
If you want to use any setting, slide the round button to the right to activate it .
How to apply Taskbar effects with RainbowTaskbar
RainbowTaskbar is a software that allows you to add gradient fade transitions or solid color effects to your Taskbar. You can also choose to add curved edges, images, text, and shapes to your Taskbar with this software.
Here's how you can add a multicolored rainbow Taskbar effect with RainbowTaskbar:
Then click on the rnbtsk-x64.exe download link there.
Double-click the rnbtsk-x64 file to run Rainbow Taskbar (this software does not need to be installed).
Right-click the RainbowTaskbar system tray icon and select Presets > Rainbow .

Selecting the Rainbow color preset will apply a beautiful and dynamic multi-color gradient effect to the Taskbar. The preset includes 8 fading color gradients that change every millisecond. It is also configured with a small transparency effect (80% background opacity). You can view the preset settings by right-clicking on the Rainbow Taskbar system tray icon and selecting Open.

Now, let's try setting up a new preset from scratch. For example, set up a transparent Taskbar with a static yellow to red gradient like this:
1. First, select the Rainbow preset option and open the RainbowTaskbar window from the software's context menu.
2. Select all the Rainbow presets and click Remove to delete them.
3. Next, click the Add button.

5. Click Transparency style on the Change drop-down menu .
6. Select the Transparent option on the drop-down menu to.

8. Select Gradient on the drop-down menu.

9. Click on the color box on the left to select yellow.
10. Then click on the right colored box to select the red box.

11. Click the Add button to re-select Transparency/Style .
12. Select Underlay Opacity on the Change drop-down menu .

13. Set the slider to around 66%. Dragging the slider to the left will make the Taskbar more transparent.
14. Click the To preset button .
15. Enter a name for the new preset and click OK.

16. Then select Apply and Save to set the preset.
Now you have created a transparent Taskbar effect with yellow and red gradient colors, like the one shown directly below. The Taskbar is yellow on the left and red on the right. Unlike the Rainbow preset, it is a static gradient that does not change. You can preset it at any time by right-clicking on the RainbowTaskbar system tray icon and selecting it from the Presets submenu .

Note that you must always set the Taskbar style when creating new presets. You can choose Blurred or Transparent style from the drop-down menu to.
How to apply Taskbar effects with NiceTaskbar
NiceTaskbar is a slightly simpler Taskbar customization app than RainbowTaskbar. You can choose to apply five different Taskbar effects with this software. It also integrates some additional settings to center the icons on the Taskbar and add seconds to the system tray clock. Here is how you can apply effects on the Taskbar with NiceTaskbar:
2. Click the Get in Store app option on the NiceTaskbar page and select Open Microsoft Store.
3. Next click Get to install NiceTaskbar.
4. Click Open to run NiceTaskbar. Then double-click the NiceTaskbar system tray icon to view the application window.
5. Select the Opaque , Clear , Blur , Fluent or Good Luck effect option .

6. Click Color to set the Taskbar color for the effect.
7. Enable the Start on system startup option .
The effect options are similar to the settings for applying Taskbar transparency in different ways. Selecting Opaque will apply a solid color effect with no transparency. Clicking Fluent will apply full transparency to the Taskbar.
Clear and Blur are the most fun effect options to use. Selecting Blur will apply a blurry transparency effect. If you want more transparency, click the Clear option. Dragging the slider will increase and decrease the transparency level for both of those effect options.

NiceTaskbar's Center buttons setting adds centered icons to the Windows 10 Taskbar. Turn on the Center buttons option to move icons to the center of the Taskbar. However, unpinned icons, such as the Start menu, will remain on the left.

Enabling the Clock show seconds setting will add seconds to the system tray clock. You will also need to restart Windows for the setting to take effect. Alternative methods to configure the system tray clock to display seconds in Windows 10 include manually modifying the registry or running a PowerShell command.
