A cube is a puzzle with 6 faces, 8 vertices, 12 edges, all faces are equal squares, equal sides. A cube can be understood as a cube with equal width, length and height.
+ There are 6 symmetrical and equal planes.
+ There are 12 equal edges.
+ The diagonal of the sides is equal.
+ Diagonal cubes are equal.
The area around the cube is equal to the square of the lengths of one side multiplied by four.
In which :
+ a: is the length of one side.
+ S: is the surrounding area.

Applying formula. We have: S = 4 xaxa = 4 x 8 x 8 = 256 (cm2).

Example: Given a blue cube that is 10cm on one side. Calculate the total area of the image above.
Applying the above formula we have S = 6 x 10 x 10 = 600 (cm2).
Volume of a cube equals a cube of one side length.
In which :

+ V: is the volume.
Reference example for volume calculation. Let A'B'C'D'.ABCD cube of length BB '= 5cm. Calculate the volume of the cube.
Applying the formula we have V = axaxa = 5 x 5 x 5 = 125 (cm3).
- Units of volume calculated by block (eg cubic meter (m3)).
- Unit area calculated in units of measure exponential 2 (such as square meter (m2)).
