Google Photos is a storage service using Google's cloud technology, allowing you to store photos and videos online unlimited and free.
If you are a regular user of Google Photos, you may have seen a new feature called Archive displayed on the sidebar of the application. If not, let's find out what it is, why use it and how to use it in the following article.
Basically, the Archive feature is a way to keep Google Photos organized. It is no different than archiving emails in Gmail . You can store your photos online here when you do not want to save the main view of Photos. They will show up in search as well as in any photo album where you saved them. This is a way to keep things organized and organized in Google Photos.
Using this feature is quite simple. It works the same on both Android and iOS devices.
First, open the Photos app. To make sure you have this feature, drag the menu to the left and find Archive . You can touch it if you want, but nothing will be displayed there simply because you haven't stored anything yet.
To start storing photos, select any photos to include. Touch the three dots icon in the upper right corner and select Archive.
Just like that, your photos will no longer show up in Photos main view and will be moved to the Archive section .
After you've saved a few photos, you'll see a new option appear under the Assistant tab that allows you to " Clear the clutter ". It may not display immediately but you will receive a notification when it's ready.

All photos have been pre-selected and ready to be archived as soon as you open this view. After reviewing everything, touch the Archive button .
If you've already stored your photos and want them to show up again in the main view, go to the Archive screen , select photos and click the three-dot icon in the upper right corner, then touch Unarchive.
As such, Archive is simply used to store the photos that you do not want them to display on the main interface of Google Photos and makes the application neat and more organized. Please experience and evaluate for yourself the new storage feature.
