On iOS 16 beta 5 , Apple has just brought back to the iPhone a useful feature that displays the battery percentage on the status bar . Now, whether you are on the home page, in the application... you can still see the battery percentage clearly displayed.
However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind, so keep reading to see what you should do if the battery percentage isn't showing on your iPhone running iOS 16.
Interestingly, the ability to display battery percentage won't appear until iOS 16 beta 5 (or public beta 3) is installed. Some people will find it enabled by default, but others will have to enable it manually.
This is the first time the battery percentage has been included in the status bar of iPhone models with Face ID after it was removed with the launch of the iPhone X in 2017.

- If your iPhone is in low power mode, the battery icon turns yellow but still shows the battery percentage.
- When plugged in, you will see a small charging icon next to the battery percentage.
- If your iPhone is below 20% battery (without power saving mode turned on), the battery icon will turn red with the battery percentage displayed inside.
Good luck!
