By default, Android lets you sort the apps you install on your device by name, or by size. While both of these options are easily done on an Android device , another arrangement that is not much mentioned and not very familiar to users is sort by the date you install your apps . More precisely, you cannot do it from the app settings menu on your device. However, this was supported by another third-party application.
Assuming your Android device is constantly missing a feature or option and you can't find out where it is, you need another app to fix it. We found an app that allows you to easily sort installed apps by date (either ascending, or descending). This app is called Smart App Manager , which is free to download through Google Play (download here ).
After you download, install and open the Smart App Manager app , you'll notice that it also offers the ability to list apps by name by default on your Android device.
To quickly change that, click "More", a menu pop up and you continue to click "Sort" at the top right. A pop-up menu next will allow you to list your apps by installation date, in addition to sorting them by name and file size.
Smart App Manager is provided completely free. The illustration shows it's running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it should work fine with any device running Android 2.3 or later. If you find that sorting apps by date is useful to suit your needs, please refer to the instructions below.
