How to View How Many Hours You’ve Played on Minecraft

If you’re a Minecraft lover, you might have put many hours into the game over the years. Learning exactly how much time you’ve spent on Minecraft can be fascinating. Whether you need to convince your parents or partner that you aren’t spending too much time gaming, or simply want to keep track of your Minecraft playtime, there’s an easy method to find out.

How To View How Many Hours You’Ve Played On Minecraft

How to View Your Minecraft Statistics

The Statistics tab in Minecraft tracks not only how many hours you’ve spent crafting your virtual worlds but also details about your in-game activities. You can monitor various actions, such as how many times you’ve opened a chest, interacted with villagers, walked, swum, and more.

Note: This feature is available only in the Java Edition of Minecraft for PC or Mac. Every time you save a world, its statistics are automatically saved as well.

How to Open the Statistics Tab

To access the Statistics tab, follow these steps:

  1. Open Minecraft.
  2. Press the Escape button on your keyboard to open the menu.
  3. Click on Statistics under the Back to Game button.

What Statistics You Can View

The Time Played display shows minutes, which can also be represented in days (d) or hours (h). Note that this only shows statistics related to the selected world. To find out your total gaming hours across all worlds, sum the individual times.

Other Interesting Statistics

Aside from playtime, the Statistics tab offers a wealth of interesting insights about your gameplay:

  1. Number of times you clicked "Save and Quit".
  2. Duration since your last in-game death.
  3. Frequency of using the Sneak button.
  4. Total distances sprinted, fallen, or crouched.
  5. Total jumps made.
  6. Total deaths.
  7. How many times you've blocked damage with a shield.

These stats help you measure your gaming success and can be compared with stats from other players.

How to Reset Your Statistics

If you wish to reset your stats and start fresh, follow these steps:

  1. Open the .minecraft folder on your computer.
  2. Locate the folder corresponding to the world for which you want to erase stats.
  3. Open the Statistics folder within that world’s folder.
  4. Delete the folder's contents.

Congratulations, your statistics are now reset!
