World Series 2026: How to Follow the Score, Schedule, and Latest Game Updates
As of Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Milwaukee Brewers lead the Tampa Bay Rays 1–0 in the World Series after a 3–2 win in Game 1. Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday night at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Use the official MLB postseason schedule for the changing series status and the exact game card for live play-by-play; the score below is a pre-Game 2 snapshot.

World Series score: separate the game result from the series lead
MLB lists Friday’s result as “MIL 3, TB 2 (MIL leads, 1–0).” The 3–2 is the final score of Game 1: Milwaukee scored three runs and Tampa Bay scored two. The 1–0 is the series tally, meaning the Brewers have won one game and the Rays have not yet won one. It is not the score of Game 2 and does not give Milwaukee a run advantage when the next game starts.
The World Series is a best-of-seven series. The first club to win four games becomes champion, so a 1–0 lead is an early edge, not a clinch. After each completed game, look for both the game’s final score and the updated series record. MLB’s postseason format overview confirms that the World Series remains best-of-seven.
2026 World Series schedule and start times
MLB lists its schedule in Eastern Time. Every currently scheduled first pitch is 8 p.m. Eastern. On these October dates, Eastern Time is Eastern Daylight Time (EDT, UTC−04:00); U.S. daylight saving time does not end until November 1, 2026, according to NIST’s 2026 daylight-saving calendar. Game 2’s 8 p.m. EDT start on Saturday, October 24 is 7 p.m. in Milwaukee, Central Daylight Time (CDT, UTC−05:00), and 00:00 UTC on Sunday, October 25. The UTC conversion crosses midnight; the scheduled game date in Milwaukee remains Saturday.

Games 5, 6, and 7 are placeholders in the schedule, not a promise that those games will be played. The series can end as soon as one team has four wins. MLB also notes that the postseason schedule is subject to change, so recheck the official 2026 schedule and results before making plans. There is no game listed for Sunday, October 25; Game 3 is scheduled for Monday in Tampa.
Where to check live scores and game-by-game updates
Open MLB’s postseason page. Its schedule shows the current matchup, game number, completed results, and series lead. This is the quickest place to confirm whether a game is upcoming, underway, or finished.
Choose the game card for live detail. MLB Gameday provides live scores and pitch-by-pitch information in a browser and the MLB app. Follow the inning and the most recent play when checking a close game; a live score can change before the final result is posted. Start from MLB’s official postseason hub or its Gameday scoreboard.
Read the labels before sharing a score. A scheduled game has no result yet; an in-progress game has a live score; “Final” marks a completed game. Check the date and game number as well as the runs, so a Game 1 result is not mistaken for the current Game 2 score. After a game ends, confirm that the series tally has updated too.
For Game 2, MLB’s current probable-pitcher listing names Tampa Bay right-hander Drew Rasmussen and Milwaukee right-hander Logan Henderson. “Probable” is not a guarantee: MLB labels pitcher listings subject to change, and the batting order is a separate announcement. Check the Game 2 matchup and lineup page close to first pitch for the latest confirmation.
How to watch or listen in the United States
MLB’s announced U.S. schedule lists FOX, FOX One, and FOX Deportes for World Series games. ESPN Radio is providing national live coverage. MLB says U.S. viewers can also access games through MLB.TV when they authenticate with an applicable network subscription through a participating pay-TV provider; streaming access therefore depends on the viewer’s provider and account. Check the MLB broadcast details and your provider’s listing before game time.
What is confirmed—and what can still change
Confirmed in MLB’s current schedule: Milwaukee won Game 1, the Brewers lead the series 1–0, and Game 2 is set for October 24 at American Family Field. The October dates, scheduled start times, and listed broadcasters are official at the time of this update. The Game 2 probable starters are listed but remain subject to change. Results after Game 1, later starting pitchers, and whether Games 5–7 are needed are not yet known in this pre-Game 2 update. For the most useful next check, refresh MLB’s game card shortly before first pitch and again after the game is marked final.
