Most cloud and photo apps (not including Instagram) require a photo backup in the background. If this feature is enabled, chances are your photos won't actually be deleted.
Deleting photos from the gallery app will not cause them to be deleted from the cloud backup service. To get the picture back, just log in to your cloud app and download the photo.
