Instructions for scanning documents on Google Files
The Google Files application supports you to scan documents and save them in PDF format so that we can easily edit and share them with others. So you will not need a document scanning application on another phone, but use the installed Files application right away. Below are instructions for scanning documents on the Google Files application.
How to scan documents on Google Files app
Step 1:
Go to the Google Files app and tap the Scan option in the bottom right corner of the screen. The document scanning interface will appear. If you already have a photo, tap the photo icon to open the photo in the album to scan the document.
Step 2:
You select the area of the document you want to scan and then press the capture button as usual. Then we will see the scanned image as below. If you want to add another page to this file, press the plus sign . You continue to press the plus sign to scan another document page.
Step 3:
The scanned document will display adjustment options below. When you click Crop and Rotate, it will adjust the content area to be captured. Once cropped, click Apply to save .
Step 4:
When you click on the Filter option, you have some more options to edit the photo as shown below. You click on each option to apply to the scanned document on Google Files. We click Apply to save the filter for this document or click Apply to all for the entire document that has been done.
The Cleanup tool in Google Files will remove stains from your document. First, you choose the size of the selection and then paint over the stain you want to remove. The stain will be removed from your document immediately.
Step 5:
After editing the document, click Done to save . Documents scanned on Google Files are saved in a separate Scanned folder for you to view when needed.
Step 6:
In this interface, users can review scanned documents, share documents if desired, or click the pen icon to draw on the document.
