What is a mini air conditioner? Compare mini air conditioner with air conditioner fan? Which one consumes more electricity?
In addition to wall-mounted air conditioners (wall-mounted air conditioners) that can cool quickly and effectively on hot and humid days, there are also mini air conditioners and air-conditioning fans. With their compact, lightweight, and flexible features, these two devices are favored and trusted by many people, mostly students or families living in apartments, dormitories or shops.
So what is the difference between these two devices, what are their prices, which one consumes more electricity? Please refer to the following article of Quantrimang for more detailed information!
What is a mini air conditioner?
Mini air conditioners (mini air conditioners) work similarly to regular air conditioners, however, they are smaller in size and can be easily moved. Therefore, the hot block is the cold block on the mini air conditioner integrated into a unified whole.
Are mini air conditioner and air conditioner fan the same?
Mini air conditioners and air conditioner fans are not the same. The air conditioner fan has a cooling pad, a pump and a specially designed large motor fan system inside, cooling with water vapor. The mini air conditioner cools with solvent.
Advantages and disadvantages of mini air conditioner
Advantage
Compact size, easy to move to where you want to use it
Suitable for places where it is not possible to mount the hot cluster for wall-mounted air conditioners
Independent of air humidity thanks to the use of refrigerant
Large capacity water tank, can be used within 24 hours or can use corrugated pipe to drain water like with conventional air conditioners
Disadvantages
The capacity is smaller than wall-mounted air conditioners, so if your family lives in a large space, you should consider it.
The exhaust pipe system is short, sometimes inconvenient because it is difficult to run the pipe in many places.
Advantages and disadvantages of air conditioners
Advantage
Cooling capacity can be faster than mini air conditioner if in small room
Moisturizes well, does not dry skin
Easy to move
Some air conditioner fan models can generate negative ions and ozone to clean the air and remove dust.
Disadvantages
Long-term cooling efficiency is not as high as mini air conditioners
Depending on the space, the larger the space, the less effective the cooling.
Takes up a significant amount of space in the room
Make noise
Complex cleaning
Compare mini air conditioner with air conditioner fan
Usable space
Mini air conditioner: Closed space
Air conditioner: Encourage open space
Cooling mechanism
Mini air conditioner: Solvent
Air conditioner fan: By steam
Cooling capacity
Mini air conditioner: Cools to specified temperature
Air conditioner fan: Depending on fan capacity, environmental humidity, cooling area
Additional utilities
Mini air conditioner: Self-diagnosis, antibacterial ions, deodorization, night mode, remote control
Air conditioner fan: Generates ions, ozone to clean the air (depending on model), night sleep mode (depending on model), remote control
Noise
Mini air conditioner: Quiet
Air conditioner fan: Noisy, the higher the capacity fan, the noisier it is.
Price
Mini air conditioner: From 6 - 7 million
Air conditioner fan: From 2 - 7 million
Power consumption
Mini air conditioner: Average consumption 400-500W/h, some machines only reach 230W/h. For example, you are only at home and use the mini air conditioner at about 500W/h from 6pm to 6am the next morning (about 12 hours) => daily electricity consumption is about 500Wx12h=6000W, equivalent to 6 kWh => monthly electricity consumption is 6x30=180 kWh.
Air conditioner fan: Consumes from 60W/h-180W/h. For example, you are only at home and use an air conditioner fan with a capacity of about 150W from 6pm to 6am the next morning (about 12 hours) => the monthly electricity consumption is 150Wx12h= 1800W, equivalent to 1.8 kWh => the monthly electricity consumption is 1.8x30=54 kWh.
Should I buy an air conditioner or a mini air conditioner?
If you look at the above comparison, it is clear that each type has its own advantages and disadvantages. Although mini air conditioners are expensive, their capacity and cooling ability will be more effective in the long run than air conditioners. Besides, if you have small children at home or you need quiet to work, mini air conditioners will be a better choice because the machine operates smoothly and does not make noise.
