How to add Gemini to iPhone home screen
Currently, there is no separate Gemini app on iOS . On Android, you have the official Google Gemini app, and on iPhone, you have to use a web browser. Although it doesn't take much time to go to the web browser and access Gemini, it can be annoying in a hurry. Follow the instructions below and you will have Gemini on your iPhone home screen.
How to download Gemini on iPhone
Step 1: Open the Shortcuts app, select the plus icon in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Select Add Action in the new Shortcut interface.
Step 3: In the Category interface, select Web.
Step 4: Select Open URL.
Step 5: In the URL open section, click on the URL and write it googleapp://robinand select Done.
Step 6: Next you can change the Gemini icon by clicking on the Safari icon, or click Open URL 1 next to it > Select icon.
Step 7: Change the icon and icon color you want and select Done.
Step 8: Finally, select Add to Home Screen. When you use this shortcut for the first time, you will need to allow it to open the Google app, but you only need to allow it once.
After all the above settings, now you just need to select Gemini to run Gemini on your iPhone.
If you own an iPhone 15 Pro, you can also assign this shortcut to the Action Button by going to Settings > Action Button > Shortcuts and then selecting the "Gemini" shortcut you just made.
To get the Gemini icon for the shortcut you assigned, download the Gemini icon below then select the app image.
