iOS 18 updates a new feature that allows users to set a custom battery charging limit, helping to better control the battery status of the iPhone 15. This feature allows you to choose a battery charging limit of 80%, 85%, 90% or 95% to extend the battery life of the iPhone . When this feature is enabled, the device will not charge to full battery, avoiding wear and tear due to continuous charging at 100%. Below are instructions for activating the battery charging limit feature on the iPhone.
Instructions to enable battery charging limit on iPhone
Step 1:
Users access Settings on iPhone then click on Battery in the list below the interface.
Step 2:
Switch to the battery settings interface for the iPhone. Here, users click on Charging to change the battery charging settings for the phone. As a result, you will see the battery charging limit adjustment bar for users to choose according to their preferences.

In case the user activates the iPhone battery charging limit at 100%, a notification will be displayed as shown below.

Choosing your iPhone's battery charge limit depends on your battery usage habits. If you charge frequently throughout the day, a lower limit like 80% or 85% will be fine. For those who need longer battery life between charges, the 90% or 95% option may be more appropriate.
Note, this setting only applies to iPhone 15 and above.
