How to reset the Screen Time feature password for iPhone, iPad and Mac
The Screen Time feature on iPhone helps parents manage their children's phone usage time, limit applications on iPhone with the time children can use the application. And this Screen Time feature is protected by a passcode set by parents. If you forget the iPhone Screen Time password, you cannot change the settings again. The following article will guide you to reset the iPhone Screen Time feature password.
Instructions for resetting iPhone Usage Time password
Step 1:
On the phone interface, click on Settings and then select the Screen Time feature to set up. Go to the settings interface for this feature, scroll down and click on Change Screen Time Password .
Step 2:
Display the options below the screen, you tap on Change screen time password .
Step 3:
Now the password entry interface for the currently used Screen Time feature appears. If you forget your password, click Forgot your password . You will then be asked to enter your Apple ID account password to reset the Screen Time feature password on your iPhone.
You will then receive an email to reset the password for the screen time feature on your iPhone.
How to reset screen time passcode on Mac
If you want to reset your Screen Time passcode on your Mac, here's what you need to do:
1. Click the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the menu bar and select System Settings from the drop-down menu.
2. Select Screen Time from the sidebar.
3. Scroll down and click Change Passcode... under Lock Screen Time Settings .
4. Click Forgot Passcode?
5. Enter your Apple ID email and click Next or press the Return key .
6. Enter your Apple ID password and click Next or press the Return key .

7. Finally, enter your new Screen Time passcode, then enter it again to verify.
Again, you're out of luck if you don't enable Share Across Devices and skip the screen time passcode recovery step during setup.
How to reset your child's screen time passcode
If you're taking full advantage of parental controls on your child's iPhone or iPad and using Apple's Family Sharing feature to control their screen time, you can use your iPhone or Mac to reset the screen time passcode for your child's device.
Note : You must be the Family Organizer to reset your child's Screen Time password.
On iPhone or iPad
To reset the Screen Time passcode on your child's Apple device from an iPhone or iPad, follow the steps below:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
Tap Family Sharing and select your child's name.
On the next screen, tap Screen Time .
Tap Change Screen Time Passcode , then tap Change Screen Time again from the two options.
You will now be prompted to enter your device passcode. If you use Touch ID or Face ID to unlock your device, you can scan your finger or face to continue the authentication process.
Finally, enter your new Screen Time passcode and enter it again to confirm.
Change or turn off the Screen Time feature password in the settings app on iPhone
On Mac
Here's what you need to do if you want to reset the Screen Time passcode for your child's device using your Mac:
1. Click on the Apple icon and go to System Settings .
2. Select Screen Time from the left sidebar.
3. Click your name next to Family Member and select your child's name from the drop-down menu.
4. Scroll down and click Change Passcode .
5. Enter your Mac admin password and press the Return key or click Unlock .
Enter your Mac's admin password to reset your child's screen time passcode.
6. Now, enter your new Screen Time passcode and re-enter it to confirm.
It's easy! However, if you forget your Apple account login details, you'll first have to go through the complicated process of resetting your Apple ID password.
If you have Share Across Devices turned on , your Screen Time settings will sync seamlessly across all the devices in your iCloud account. This means you won't have to change your Screen Time passcode separately on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
