Below are instructions on how to mute calls and messages from someone on your iPhone without blocking.
Turn off all iPhone calls from specific person
Step 1:
You go to Settings and select Focus . Next, you click on the plus icon in the upper right corner and select Customize .
Step 2:
Name this mode, choose a color , then tap Next and then tap Customize focus mode .
Step 3:
Then we click on People and select Mute notifications from and click the Add button below to add the person you want to mute calls . Click Done to save the list.
Now you just need to enable the Mute mode that you want to add to Focus in iPhone to mute calls from the people you have added.
How to Turn Off Message Notifications from Specific People on iPhone

You access the contacts then select the person you want to mute the message notification sound . Then click on Edit in the upper right corner.
