How to Turn Off Message Notifications on Someone's iPhone
Step 1:
First, you access the Messages application on your phone and then tap on the contact that we want to turn off message notifications from that person. Switch to the messaging interface, tap on their name above to switch to the custom interface.
Step 2:
Switch to the new interface, scroll down and you will see the Hide Alerts option . We will activate this setting to turn off message notifications from this person on iPhone.
Then you will not receive message notifications from this person, but you can still read the message content when accessing the message interface on iPhone.
The result of that person's message will be a crossed-out speaker icon as shown below. You continue to perform the above operation to turn off message notifications from the person you want.

Step 3:
To turn message notifications back on on iPhone , just swipe the contact from right to left and select Unmute.
