How to turn off someones message notifications on iPhone

When you turn off message notifications on your iPhone, by default, messages from anyone sent to you will not be notified. However, you can completely turn off message notifications for a specific person on your iPhone that you want, without affecting messages sent from others. When you turn off message notifications from that person on your iPhone, you will not receive any notifications, until you turn the notifications back on. Below are instructions for you to turn off message notifications for someone on your iPhone.

How to Turn Off Message Notifications on Someone's iPhone

Step 1:

First, you access the Messages application on your phone and then tap on the contact that we want to turn off message notifications from that person. Switch to the messaging interface, tap on their name above to switch to the custom interface.

Step 2:

Switch to the new interface, scroll down and you will see the Hide Alerts option . We will activate this setting to turn off message notifications from this person on iPhone.

Then you will not receive message notifications from this person, but you can still read the message content when accessing the message interface on iPhone.

The result of that person's message will be a crossed-out speaker icon as shown below. You continue to perform the above operation to turn off message notifications from the person you want.

You can also quickly turn off message notifications on iPhone by swiping the contact from right to left and then tapping Mute . This way, message notifications from this person will not be displayed.

Step 3:

To turn message notifications back on on iPhone , just swipe the contact from right to left and select Unmute.
