Many iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max users have reported that the touch screen is unresponsive.
On X, the YuneTech account said that the touch screen on his iPhone 16 Pro Max is intermittent, slow to respond, especially when holding it with one hand, causing discomfort. In the comments section, Travis said that he also encountered a similar situation, making it difficult to text because the letters jump around randomly.
According to MacRumors, most users of the two iPhone 16 Pro models have reported slow screen response and occasional glitches with touch and swipe operations. This could be a software error, not a hardware one, as this phenomenon has not been recorded on the regular iPhone 16 and does not occur when the device is in screen lock mode.

Some users later discovered that the cause of the iPhone 16 Pro screen having a touch error was due to users accidentally touching the area next to the Camera Control button. When users no longer touched that area, everything worked normally again.
According to researcher Khaos Tian on the Mastodon blog, there is a problem with multi-touch on the new iPhone Pro screens. When you touch one point on the screen, all new touches are ignored for a short period of time.
9to5mac believes that the iPhone 16 Pro has thinner bezels than the previous generation, so just touching a small part of the skin can activate the touch function and 'reject' the touch elsewhere. This site believes that Apple will soon fix it with an update due to a software-related error.
