Shazam on iPhone can now sync all recognized music to Spotify or Apple Music

Popular music identification app Shazam is making it easier to check tagged music, thanks to a recent app update for your iPhone.

All recognized tracks will sync to your Apple Music or Spotify playlists.

Previously, before the app update, any songs you recognized using the app's main menu were saved to a playlist on Spotify or Apple Music. However, songs tagged using other methods did not appear in that playlist.

But now, with the update, all music found through Control Center, Siri, and Shortcuts will be available to listen to in the "My Shazam Tracks" playlist on any music streaming service.

To make sure everything is working properly, you'll need to open the Shazam app and select the Settings gear in the top left of the screen. If you don't see it, pull up the menu from the bottom of the screen.

In the Apple Music or Spotify box , turn Sync your songs off and then on to resync all previously discovered songs from the Shazam app. If you sync with Spotify, you may need to reopen the app to see the refreshed playlist.

While you're in the Settings menu, go down to iCloud sync and make sure it's turned on. With that feature enabled, your Shazam history will sync across devices and always be available.

While I’ve always been a big fan of the Shazam music recognition app, many of me primarily use it through Siri and the Control Center widget, so it’s nice to see that you can now quickly identify a song and return to it later in a specific playlist.

Try using the new feature with Siri and through Control Center, the songs will be available right in your playlist.

Shazam is more than just music recognition
