Embark Beyond, a luxury “travel advisor,” asked its experts to recommend the hottest new hotels and resorts for 2025.

“ With all the incredible luxury hotels opening, 2025 is shaping up to be the most exciting year for luxury travel since the pandemic ,” said Jack Ezon, managing partner of Embark Beyond. “ There is clearly a global appetite for unusual locations with interesting features, exemplified by the style and location of the hotels opening soon .”

Here are some new places to stay that are likely to attract a large number of tourists in 2025 .

Airelles Venezia (Venice, Italy)

One of the hottest hotel brands of the decade is the Airelles group. It has taken over the former Baur Palladio and Villa F, located next to the Belmond Cipriani, creating a new Venetian palace. It will have spectacular views of the Giudecca Canal and will feature gardens and multi-unit “villas” along with a luxury spa. The 45 rooms are spread between the original Palladio, Villa F and the adjacent Convento, surrounded by a large garden. There is also a three-bedroom detached villa overlooking Piazza San Marco.

Why it's so special: Valentina O'Kane, luxury travel advisor at Embark Beyond, said this would be the first project outside of France for ultra-luxury hotel company Airelles, which is partly owned by LVMH. " The new resort will also feature resort amenities like an extensive spa and outdoor pool ," she said.

NIHI Rote (West Timor, Indonesia)

NIHI Sumba is opening a new property with 25 thatched-roof villas with private pools in a secluded corner of Rote Island in West Timor. Set in front of Bo'a Beach, which offers world-class surfing all year round, it is one of Indonesia's wildest and most undiscovered spots.

Why it's so special: According to McKenzie Nagle, luxury travel advisor for Embark Beyond, the Nihi Sumba hotel has built a loyal following, especially among the young, affluent, active crowd, including surfers. " Nihi Rote finally gives Nihi addicts a new base camp to experience the wild, luxurious, natural atmosphere with a great new surf vacation that is rarely accessible to luxury travelers, " he said.

Bab Samhan (Diriyah, Saudi Arabia)

The “Earth City” that was once the capital of Saudi Arabia will emerge in 2025 as the first of three phases of a new cultural outpost in the developing Middle Eastern nation. The 106 guest rooms will be set in what looks like a quaint village in the heart of museums, high-end boutiques and a sprawling new park, all within a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Why it’s so special: Laura Worth, art and travel expert at Embark Beyond, says the Bab Shaman is a remarkable new hotel. “ This unique cultural attraction combines ancient and contemporary culture in one place .” What’s most notable is the infrastructure underneath. “ While it may look ancient, it’s actually a city of the future. To keep the hotel clean and running efficiently, a remarkable three-story underground city has been built to accommodate all traffic, deliveries, waste disposal, and transit .”

Vineta Hotel (Palm Beach, Fla.)

The Oetker Collection is slated to open in the United States in the first quarter of 2025 in the heart of Palm Beach, just two blocks from Worth Avenue at the former Chesterfield Hotel. The landmark is just three blocks from the beach and will have just 41 rooms. It will restore the famous Leopard Lounge and “American Bar,” along with a new poolside restaurant inspired by the legendary French resort.

Aman Rosa Alpina (Dolomites, Italy)

This family-run alpine boutique resort reopens with a top-to-toe Aman makeover. The hotel will feature more indulgent dining experiences, including an outdoor cheese fondue. The wellness space has been nearly doubled in size and redesigned to incorporate an outdoor pool and hot tub.

Why it's so special: " I'm particularly excited to sell a mountain resort that combines the sleek Aman style with the soul of a family-run Italian resort under the watchful eye of the Pizzinini family, who have owned the hotel for six generations, " said Amy Warren, ski expert at Embark Beyond. " The Dolomites are one of the most beautiful and diverse destinations, with incredible winter sports adventures and, in the summer, the perfect place for hiking, biking, climbing, ziplining and more ."
